How old was the airliner and what was the service like on it’s cabin air system? I have worked on a number of aircraft and some are maintained very well and some not to much. I think also there is a difference between airborne like the flue and spiting up blood all over the place. Plus some people go 21 days before they show signs of sickness. Do I think our Government is telling us the truth? NO and HELL NO!
The lies behind the “official” Ebola transmission sources was obvious to anyone who spent more than 30 seconds thinking about.
If the doctors, nurses, and workers were taking all of the precautions shown in various videos taken during the outbreak’s initial weeks how were they getting infected?
I don’t know about the rest of you but I don’t go around wearing full medical gowns covered in plastic with eye goggles and a mask of some sort. Nor do I disinfect the surfaces of those items prior to moving on to another job or disrobing.
I am beginning to think that what the Government and LMSM are feeding us is designed to keep us calm. See articles and books about the 1918 Spanish Flu Pandemic to see how various nations, world wide, initially tried to handle the situation.
The only proven successful way to prevent the Spanish Flu from gaining a foothold was, as practiced by Japan, American Samoa, and New Caledonia, through quarantines and restrictions on international travel entering and leaving their territories.

But, with Spanish Flu infection rates up to 50%, spreading across the US in a week (travel by train was the fastest way) and an estimated morality rate to 10-20% of those infected were they really? More importantly will they be?

To me it appears contagious viruses are contagious the same way, with a continuum of degrees. If you drank from the same glass of an AIDS patient, you won’t catch it. But you could catch a stomach virus or a flu or Ebola. It’s all “bodily emissions to bloodstream” isn’t it? How much of the fluid, and how much exposure to the bloodstream is the only difference.
There is no doubt that the airports in Freetown, Monrovia, Conakry and probably Bamako should have been closed 2 weeks ago.
But doing that is as inconceivable to the people in charge as fighting wars to win is. They cannot think of it, so they cannot do it.
The latest CDC talking points sent out last week are urging us to fight stigma and discrimination.
This is not an Obama-only problem. It is a form of mental illness which affects most Republicans as well, and it is killing our societies.
Ebola is much less of a threat than is the inability to draw relevant distinctions, i.e., to discriminate.
You overestimate the decency, patriotism and ethics of DC. Further, remember there is a “cure”. Just not for me and thee.

Since WHO admitted the following 8-15-2014 —
1. The magnitude of the Ebola crisis in West Africa is “vastly” underestimated, the World Health Organization warned this week, as the death toll steadily climbed.
2. “The outbreak is expected to continue for some time,” the WHO said in a statement Thursday. “Staff at the outbreak sites see evidence that the numbers of reported cases and deaths vastly underestimate the magnitude of the outbreak.”
and
3. It’s also working with other agencies, including the World Food Program, to feed about 1 million people quarantined in villages in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone.
Given the corruption, crime and culture in West Africa, this pandemic won’t;
a) Burn out soon, and
b) It will spread beyond West Africa.
The only thing that will stop this outbreak is a vaccine.
The only thing that will slow this pandemic effectively is hard core quarantine measures coupled with extensive shut downs in the world air transport system.

WHO: Evidence shows Ebola crisis ‘vastly’ underestimated

(CNN) — The magnitude of the Ebola crisis in West Africa is “vastly” underestimated, the World Health Organization warned this week, as the death toll steadily climbed.
Ebola has infected at least 1,975 people in Nigeria, Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone since the outbreak began this year.
Of the victims, 1,069 have died, according to the WHO. It said the number reflects the count as of Monday.
“The outbreak is expected to continue for some time,” the WHO said in a statement Thursday. “Staff at the outbreak sites see evidence that the numbers of reported cases and deaths vastly underestimate the magnitude of the outbreak.”
Dr. Gupta: Why we shouldn’t fear Ebola Though the United Nations agency did not provide an estimate of unreported cases, it said it’s teaming up with the affected countries to gather more intelligence from the ground.
“WHO is mapping the outbreak, in great detail, to pinpoint areas of ongoing transmission and locate treatment facilities and supplies,” the statement said.
It’s also working with other agencies, including the World Food Program, to feed about 1 million people quarantined in villages in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone.
“Our team are not in direct contact with Ebola quarantine and treatment centers,” said Fabienne Pompey, spokeswoman for World Food Program. “We deliver food to the medical staff and they are in charge of the distribution.”
As experts scramble to contain the outbreak, health officials are considering the use of experimental treatments and vaccines since no proven ones exist.
Ebola spreads through contact with organs and bodily fluids such as blood, saliva, urine and other secretions of infected people.
The deadly virus causes viral hemorrhagic fever, which affects multiple organ systems in the body.
Early symptoms include sudden onset of fever, weakness, muscle pain, headaches and a sore throat. They later progress to vomiting, diarrhea, impaired kidney and liver function, and sometimes internal and external bleeding.
Two Americans are undergoing treatment for Ebola, which they contracted while helping patients in Liberia. They were transferred to an isolation unit at an Atlanta hospital and appear to be recovering.
In a separate case, a Spanish priest who contracted the disease in Liberia died this week.

So I sent the article to an acquaintance who is involved with a large professional group tasked with tracking and understanding all aspects this outbreak. They are and have been engaged 24/7 for some time now in their effort to achieve that outcome so as to facilitate official response and action.
Most of us have trust issues with our government as reflected in this thread.
I trust him.
His short answer ... “This is not true.” But then thanked me for sending it to him as it would get movement from the very busy group on this specific misconception.
Agreed and a huge chunk of West Africa would already be dead if the virus were truly airborne. But as someone else commented, it would appear to have airborne tendencies, or a greater facility for ambient transmission than your standard direct transmission type virus.
