We have had friends with post polio symptons/syndrome, and they were miserable until they died.
I can’t say that I feel sorry for most of the American (or people in America) a-holes that seem to get the disease, or are very close to getting it, but I sure hope that Nurse Pham TOTALLY RECOVERS and never has to think about what she went through.

Like many infectious diseases, Ebola causes significant tissue damage, much of which is permanent.
It is just incredulous to me how many people take foolish risks with regard to infectious diseases—drink raw milk, refuse to take vaccinations—if the diseases don’t kill you, they can sure as heck leave you permanently debilitated or disabled.
