Great Britain has voted to allow the worlds first three-parent in vitro fertilization. The new technique uses the DNA of three people to prevent mothers from passing mitochondrial diseases on to their baby.
The new treatment that was allowed by the British Parliament on Tuesday is known as three-parent in vitro fertilization (IVF) because the babies, born from genetically modified embryos, would have DNA from a mother, a father and from a female donor.
In Britains House of Commons on Tuesday, health minister Jane Ellison started the debate on mitochondrial donation by urging support for this change. This is a bold step to take, but it is a considered and informed step, she argued.

It uses the mitochondrial DNA of one individual to replace the mitochondrial DNA of another which is dysfunctional. Its not like it is using the genetic blueprint of 3 people to product a baby its like swapping out the dysfunctional cellular power plants which are what mitochondria are.
I don’t doubt that scientists at some point will want to try to create freak-shows to make ssm reproduction or even one person reproduction possible by using stem cells to artificially produce sperm and eggs.
continue to destroy their own society even while being invaded, typical leftists
Good luck with that.
What could possibly go wrong? Funny how libs who claim to be for the children don’t mind conducting social experiments on them regardless of the consequences.
Selfish Bozo’s having children for political reasons. Doesn’t anyone care about the innocent little child that just wants to be held and loved by it’s mother and father?
I agreed - this procedure, if one reads it carefully, does not really result in a ‘3 parent baby’. So, from a scientific point of view, I would not object. But from an evolutionary point of view, maybe I would. If one’s genes are not disposed to create life, maybe one was never meant to...just saying.
