Maybe it was thirsty.

A coyote scampered back and forth across the roof of a Long Island City bar on Monday, as stunned locals gawked at their wild neighbor.

“He didn’t pay his bar tab, so he ran out onto the rooftop,” quipped L.I.C. Bar owner Brian Porter.

Wile E. Coyote was looking for the Roadrunner, took a left turn at Albuquerque, and ended up in NYC.

It actually looks more like an Eastern Coyote to me. That is a cross breed between a coyote and wolf.

They are larger and while some sources claim they are not as aggressive as a Western Coyote there are also reports of them being much more aggressive.

There are both here is a Pittsburgh suburb and I have seen them. Regular coyotes run when I see them, Eastern Coyotes stand their ground.

He does look very healthy. Perhaps word will get around among his coyote cohorts that NYC is a great place to live!

I saw a werewolf drinking a pina colada at Trader Vic’s. His hair was perfect.

What just amazes scientists is how amazingly adaptive the coyote has become. You'd think with the encroachment of human civilization the coyote would be wiped out from human hunting, but instead, the coyote population adapted to the human presence and are actually growing in numbers (there are a number of coyote sightings along the American River in Sacramento, CA near my house).

Is it me, or does that coyote look like he’s really enjoying his 15 minutes of fame?

That is one good looking Coyote. And huge. The ones we get here in Atlanta real many looking and about 24 lbs. Unless they are coy dogs. We get a few of those but they still look mangy.

Replacing everyone in NYC with Coyotes would be a major upgrade.

I saw a werewolf with a Chinese menu in his hand
Walking through the streets of Soho in the rain
He was looking for a place called Lee Ho Fook’s
Going to get himself a big dish of beef chow mein.

I’m kinda partial to the tall brunette who is now on Blue Bloods. Mother of Tom Brady’s love child, I hear.
