A smart phone has two prime features that any idiot knows when he pays the bill each month. He pays a cellular (voice) fee and data fee. Meaning internet.

Cameras and others software|apps are nice but the prime purpose of a smart phone is reflected in the monthly bill for voice connection and internet connection.

in the interest of disclosure, I use a 20 year old Mac every day, along with the stuff I *have* to use at work, but BTW, I have no interest in owning a so-called smart phone (possibly in the same way I used to have no interest in owning a cell phone), and the Apple Watch appears to me to be a solution in search of a problem, appealing to the Koolaid drinkers. The incoherent, inchoate animus directed to Apple -- allegedly for reasons that apply at least as strongly to all other brands -- remains both distasteful and a puzzle.
