It seems many in China have a lot of disposable income! ... :-) ...

However, I think that Apple will sell quite a few of their $350 model, too!

Their commercial is a total ear worm. Pure genius, from an advertising standpoint:

There are, perhaps, several million millionaires in China today. And perhaps a few hundred billionaires. But as one who's recently traveled the countryside of one of China's richest regions (within a hundred miles,or so,of Hong Kong) I can attest to the fact that 98% of the people still live like savages.

I've never bough an Apple product and never will.Windows 7 and Android serve me very well indeed.Of course I'll be labeled a homophobe by that pervert that runs the company...but I'll just have to live with that.

The Apple Watch Edition has already sold out in China

They aren't saying how many were sold to make it "sold out". It could have been one for all we know, and it could have been sold to the guy who runs the slave labor factory that builds these turkeys.

I'll stick with my Kromega III

Someday, everyone will own a watch like this. Now, it is available only for the privileged few. The Mogasaki Corproration of Tokyo is honored to announce... Kromega III. [ lightning strikes ] A watch so complex, it takes two people to make it work. One hand wears the watch. The other hand presses the buttons that activate the 100% solid state multi-function digital quartz crystal micro-computer unit. And now, you're ready for the third hand to trigger the light-luminating dial to give you an alphanumeric readout accurate to within 9 a year. It's that simple.

Kromega III. It's like asking a stranger for the time.

They should have called it the Apple Watch Oligarch.

Who else would buy a $10k US or $20k China watch with a 4-5 year maximum lifespan? Spend the same on a Rolex and you have something to hand down to your kids.
