Washington (CNN) -- Donald Trump has won his party's trust on top issues more than any other Republican presidential candidate, and now stands as the clear leader in the race for the GOP nomination, according to a new CNN/ORC poll.
The survey finds Trump with the support of 24% of Republican registered voters. His nearest competitor, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, stands 11 points behind at 13%. Just behind Bush, retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson has 9%, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker 8%, Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul 6%, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, former tech CEO Carly Fiorina and Ohio Gov. John Kasich all land at 5%, with former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee rounding out the top 10 at 4%.

Not bad.
CNN poll, reported on by CBS. We trust these scum because we want to believe their findings?
It's called the McConnell / Boehner effect. Christopher Walken could out-poll an establishment GOP candidate.
All I’m saying is, Trump is the only candidate in either party, who is saying Americans need jobs.
And America needs borders.
Those two are big, big issues, and our entire political establishment is sold out.
Someone posted a CNN poll a couple of times (I think yesterday) that showed him at 44%, but I never saw a link. Man, that would make my day.
Do you think it really is more or less than 24%?
13 percent for Jebbie sounds like a gop-e majority in the making.
If the Dems are stupid enough to run Hillary, assuming she’s not behind bars in November 2016, Trump will crush her.
The other polls since the debate. Fox 24-12 over Doc Carson, and Morning Consult 32-12 overJebby
Politicians are all owned by big money donors .The following link shows examples of donations from single donors of $10 million dollars and more.

All politicians go in poor and become wealthy. They do it for profit and career advancement. No wonder they all have broken their promises and are not saying “deport all illegals” as only Trump is saying.

“Just wait till we gain control of Congress. We will oppose Obama at every turn.” Uh, huh, sure.
Thus, the rise of Donald Trump.
Cruz, Fiorina and Kasich all land at 5%.
That right there is enough to prove to me this poll is bogus.
Yes all of these politicians lie to us and are becoming rich off of big donations. some campaigns seem to be getting a grand total in the hundreds of millions of dollars in donations as some single donations are 10 million dollars, 15 million dollars:

They break all the promises and then allow more immigrants in who take away the jobs of the Americans who voted for the politicians.
Most Americans are working all week just top pay the bills and many can’t find jobs while these politicians are becoming rich for giving us a speech that is all lies while the country is being destroyed by illegals and immigrants
What I will be most interested in seeing is how he is doing once we are down to about 4-5 candidates.
Yeah Trump is probably higher than the 24% as the media is trying to destroy Trump: look all the lies the media is saying against Trump like “Trump is racist, woman hating” lies in the media.
I disagree. Polls aren’t bogus just because you don’t like the result.
None of them is immensely popular outside the base. They aren’t even that well known outside the base. People will know the name but not much about them. Furthermore, there are just a LOT of candidates. They may indeed be the second choice of many, but pollsters don’t ask that question.
Once this is down to a manageable number of candidates we’ll have a much better feel.
Newt observed that if Trump holds around 25% with this large field of candidates he will win. I agree. And as they drop out one by one he will pick up additional votes.
