ITHACA, N.Y. — Kurt A. Jordan, associate professor in Cornell University’s department of anthropology and Native American studies, has found evidence through his research that suggests several parts of Ithaca lies above ancient burial grounds of Haudenosaunee Indians.
Jordan said his finding are based on a “paper trail” of books and documents, some dating centuries ago, because he didn’t have the permission to excavate in Ithaca.

I don’t mean to be disrespectful to the Indians who may be offended, but this is just funny.
So then, since it is built on sacred Indian grounds, will they tear down the city and the college, to prove they are liberal???
Let’s all embrace the liberal solution:
Demolish the town (without compensation) and the universities and return it to the redskins as a ‘sacred site’.
Also known as Indian land fills. The bodies were discarded on the pile with the rest of the trash. I’m not sure why they are considered sacred now.

That may be a bit excessive. But perhaps something along those lines might be appropriate. I suggest tearing down one building to show they are sincere. Where is Cornel West’s office?
So now will American Indians insist that Ithaca be dug up to recover all the remains, or relocated to be off of it?

I have a tremendous amount of research that I’ve done over a period of 30 years....and would love a showdown. I have “grave” doubts.
I’m just guessing here, but aren’t the majority of dead humans underneath a lot of structures?
I would figure as a culture falls it is built upon and it’s people are under the new culture’s homes.

All inhabitants of Ithaca are now tainted with racism. The only way out of this is to tear down the city and for all to bow down in submission and beg forgiveness for what they didn’t do but are guilty for because White Guilt is transmitted through DNA.

I was in grade school in the 60’s. I grew up in Elmira/Horseheads. We learned the nearest counties, Chemung and Tioga were named after those tribes. And further west were Chatauqua and Cattaraugus.
