ANN ARBOR, Mich., - Pizza chain Domino's announced a solution to pizzas showing up cold -- a specially designed delivery vehicle with a built-in warming oven.
Domino's said the "Delivery ExPert," or DXP, is a modified version of the Chevy Spark. The automaker worked together with the eatery to develop the vehicle, which is scheduled to roll out in 25 U.S. cities within the next 90 days.
The pizza chain said the car's special features include an outward-facing warming oven in the back and space inside the vehicle -- which has only one seat -- for up to 80 pies.
"The Domino's DXP is the first purpose-built vehicle aimed at revolutionizing pizza delivery," said Russell Weiner, president of Domino's USA. "This innovation allows drivers to do their jobs with greater ease and efficiency, and demonstrates that Domino's is absolutely fanatical about making perfect deliveries."
The car also includes a "puddle light" that projects the Domino's logo onto the ground so drivers don't end up with wet shoes when they step out of their cars to deliver the piping-hot pizza pies. - Pizza chain Domino's announced a solution to pizzas showing up cold -- a specially designed delivery vehicle with a built-in warming oven.

Food truck!
Yeah, but will they allow their drivers to pack heat?

So the franchise is going to buy these for their employed drivers? Who will insure them? Can they still slide the cheese?
How ‘bout an oven that cooks the pizzas en route?
And no one has thought of this before? Seriously?
Not a brick oven? No thanks.
Make your own pizza. Always hot and tasty.
Uh... won’t the pizzas in the back make the little thing flip over?
Damn...that looks just like a dog we had when my kids were little and my daughter would to dress her up in a “first day of school” outfit.
What? No solar powered mobile warmed pizza? Watch the tyrants try to tax their carbon-hydrates footprint.
Here’s how this will play out:
Idiot orders pizza.
Idiot burns the sh!t out of mouth on the first bite.
Idiot sues Dominoes.
Idiot wins (of course).
Domino’s kills the pizza car.
Roach coach!
Seriously, there have been pizza chains with warming boxes waaaay before this............................Just not an entire vehicle dedicated to it..................
So I’m just sitting here wondering how exactly a brutha gonna pimp one of these out when he jacks it.
Pizza Spinners?
A local chain here has warming boxes, stainless steel with drawers, this is nothing new.....................
