The attack on Pearl Harbor was a surprise military strike conducted by the Imperial Japanese Navy against the United States naval base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, on the morning of December 7, 1941 (December 8 in Japan). The attack led to the United States' entry into World War II.

You know, the Japanese attacked because of a youtube video.
This was on the H2 channel this afternoon and was very good.
Good points. In her “In Defense of Internment,” Michelle Malkin includes photocopies of FBI reports on Japanese spies IN CALIFORNIA. They were not just in Hawaii, and we were so concerned about an attack on the west coast that the Lockheed factory was entirely camouflaged to look like farm land. I went to school in classrooms that were pillboxes at UC Santa Barbara that at one time had guns pointing to the sea to repel the expected Japanese attack.
Below is a reality that has been hidden by the left wing media re German Americans in WWII.
One of the best kept secrets of WWII was the internment of German American men, women and children, away from the rest of America.
Canada and some Latin America countries did the same and interned some Italians.
Why did these evil countries do this. They were at war with the Axis, Germany, Italy and Japan, and they did not want to have acts of terrorism committed against their citizens by possible terrorists.
Did the media label FDR and Truman as evil men for the internment of Germans, Japanese and some Italians during WWII?
“The video also misleads by failing to inform the viewer that the internment did not affect Japanese-Americans in the interior of the United States not subject to the need to maintain operational security of the naval forces, air forces, and embarkation ports located in the coastal states”
Your statement makes absolutely no sense when applied to the Japanese in Hawaii-——few were interned.
.

Why Japanese in Hawaii Werenât Interned during WWII

Note, The Roosevelt Administration acted in what they believed was sufficient to deal with what they believed likely to be the principle threats among the 2,000 interned in Hawaii. The fact that the population was isolated on the islands and had little capability of traveling between defense sties located along the continental coastlines was deemed to be sufficient, and the policy allowed the economy to continue functioning in support of the defense installations in the Hawaiian Islands.
Yes they did and Abraham Lincoln warned they would on April 16th, 1865
Crystal City Texas had an internment camp for families...1/3 were German women and children...a few captured in North Africa...I believe...the children were put in school classes correct for their ages and taught in German...
or English
(as a teacher several years ago...I would ask my students if they thought the kids began their day with a
pledge of allegiance to the U.S. Flag each morning ! ( ; )
Almost all of the children held at the Crystal City internment camp were native-born American citizens whose parents were alien non-citizens.[4]
The German School and the American Schools had a similar enrollment and each school educated about 350 students.[4] The Japanese School educated about 300 Latin American Japanese and Japanese American students. The Japanese School’s curriculum resembled the curriculum students in Japan received, focusing on Japanese morals, ethics and physical education.[4]
On January 24, 1946 Crystal City Internment Camp official J. L. O’Rourke closed the German and Japanese schools and ordered that all remaining students enroll in the American schools.[4]

Thanks for your reply and link.
Crystal City was a large and long lasting internment camp.
