An investigation by the city attorney's office has led to misdemeanor convictions against eight sushi restaurants whose "lobster rolls" apparently lacked a key ingredient.
Investigators bought the rolls at a sampling of restaurants and then sent them to a laboratory for DNA testing. The results revealed that less-expensive seafood, including crawfish or pollock, had been substituted for lobster.

Crap? Now what am I going to do? My doctor put me on a lobster and ham only diet! (Called the LobHamsTer Diet) Do we live in a world of false advertising or what? Next you’ll tell me that hot dogs aren’t actually hot or some such crazy nonsense
I don't know about that, but I'm pretty sure there is some 'dog' in them.
I remember years ago someone describing to me how scallops were often just round sections punched out of rays’ “wings” (with something like a cookie-cutter). Never been much of a seafood fan; the food smells the same when it is fresh and a month old...
I am reminded of the old Benny Hill sketch.

Hope they didn't choose this lab. The results would be suspect.
