Disgruntled Calif. diner lets 13-foot python loose in sushi restaurant, screams ‘F--you guys!’

A former California exotic pet dealer furious with the management of a sushi restaurant let a 13-foot python loose in the dining room.

Hiroshi Motohashi’s cold-blooded Sunday assault on Studio City’s Iroha Sushi of Tokyo sent panicked customers scurrying out of the café.

“Everyone’s, like, eating so customers are yelling, ‘Get this thing out! Are you crazy?’” waitress Jessie Davaadorj told CBS Los Angeles.

The snake got stuck near the register when it tried to slither away.

Hiroshi Motohashi threw his 13-foot python into a California sushi joint Sunday night.

Police said the disgruntled diner left the slithering surprise after managers kicked him out for bringing another, smaller snake to dinner.

Motohashi had already finished and paid for his $200 sushi dinner when he started showing a small snake to other patrons in the restaurant, officials said. He left when employees asked him to — but came back moments later with the massive yellow python.

Motohashi was arrested for making criminal threats. The animal officials are now caring for both of his snakes — the yellow python and the smaller serpent — until he can show proof of ownership and proper pet permits.

A python, even a large one, is not exactly a threatening beast. They’re slow, quiet, and mostly just want to get away from idiot humans. I’d happily pick up the discarded, abandoned animal and take it home as a pet, or to sell it (could easily get several hundred dollars for a 13-footer). The disgruntled diner is an idiot, as is anyone in the restaurant who might have been worried about a fat slow animal with no interest in humans.

Not very gracefully, though.
