Cruz Campaign in Meltdown Mode as Heidi Goes MIA, Cruz fails to Sue or Actually Deny Cheating Rumors
Right Side Broadcasting ^ | 3/29/2016 | RSBN

RSBN is doing its best to keep you updated in real time about what certainly seems to be the effective end of the Cruz campaign, as the multiple-mistress scandal continues to linger and fester.

As of this afternoon, March 29, the Cruz campaign appears to be spinning out of control, if not already finished. It may be just a matter of time.

Not that Big Media is particularly doing much to do anything but bury the story. The trumpophobic media of course is relying on Cruz to remain in the race as its last hope of possibly preventing Trump from receiving the 1,237 delegates required for the Republican nomination.

The big news of the last day or so, make no mistake, is that Heidi Cruz has gone MIA. She canceled her New Jersey campaign events that were scheduled this week, including a fundraiser in Morris County scheduled for Wednesday.

Additionally, she has not tweeted since Friday, the day after the Cruz-infidelity story broke in the National Enquirer.

Additionally, yesterday Cruz added suspicion by hamhandedly attempting to avoid a question on the infidelity issue. Instead, he figuratively hid behind the skirt of Carly Fiorina.

When Cruz was asked by a reporter from DailyMail.com yesterday to tell “on the record that you’ve never been unfaithful to your wife,” Fiorina awkwardly jumped in, with a subsequent exchange going as follows:

Fiorina: “If I may…” Reporter: “No, I’m sorry. I asked the Senator that question.” Fiorina: “Well, I’m gonna comment, OK?” Reporter: “Do you have first-hand knowledge of his marriage?” Fiorina: “I’m gonna comment. This is an example of the media playing to Donald Trump’s tune.”

Fiorina then tried her best to change the subject, saying “Donald trump is a serial philanderer, by his own admission. And in a week when we have had a terrorist attack in Brussels, a shooting on Capitol Hill, the president of the United States in the baseball stands with Raul Castro, and insisting that he be photographed in front of a portrait of Che Guevara with the two Castro brothers, we are talking about a scurrilous, ridiculous piece in the National Enquirer. Why do you all dance to Donald Trump’s tune? Let’s talk about the issues, please.’

Given another attempt to answer the specific question, Cruz responded with “Sir, I recognize that you love going into the gutter with these kind of … [several parties talking at once].”

Cruz did say, thereafter, that “the National Enquirer story is complete garbage. It is total lies. It was planted by Donald Trump’s henchmen.”

Cruz of course was using legalese there, which could have of course referred to any National Enquirer story. He did not answer the reporter’s actual question about his faithfulness.

As Trump emphasized during his appearance on The Savage Nation yesterday, it was Marco Rubio’s campaign which had been peddling the Cruz-mistress story for some time, and Trump himself had nothing to do with its promulgation. In fact, Trump (who of course wasn’t there 24/7 and thus cannot be entirely sure that there was no infidelity) expressed to Savage that he thought the allegations were “garbage.” Note, as was the case with Cruz also using the term “garbage” to describe the allegations, the use of the word “garbage” does not necessarily mean that one thinks the allegations are untrue.

Meanwhile, the Cruz campaign has resorted to attempting to deflect attention from its candidate’s meltdown by playing up the ridiculous-to-the-point-of-almost-hilarious charge of “battery” in Jupiter, Florida against Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski. This “battery” consisted of a slight inadvertent brush-up against publicity-seeking, now-former Breitbart reporter Michelle Fields when both parties were on a crowded stage. Cruz’s campaign manager Alice Stewart attempted to exploit the bogus charge against Lewandowski, saying, apparently not jokingly: “Unfortunately, this abusive behavior seems to be part of the culture of the Trump campaign.”

As for the division of the Cruz campaign know as The Glenn Beck Program, Beck said yesterday that he’ll drop Ted Cruz “like a hot potato” if the sex scandal allegations turn out to be true.

Beck added that “But if you’re a serial guy, like five of them during this campaign, that’s insane, a totally different person han we think Ted Cruz is…” But, laughingly, Beck pointed out that Cruz “doesn’t have enough game. We’re not talking Tom Cruise. It’s Ted Cruz, have you watched him?”

Beck has taken in recent weeks to referring to Cruz as the “anointed one,” beseeching Christian voters that it’s their religious due to vote for Cruz.

Some Cruz supporters are certainly troubled by the way the story is playing out. According to Tanna, one now-former Cruz supporter: “He’s so done. His entire campaign has been based on being a moral elitist being above and more GODLY than the rest of us and I took the bait. Shame on me. Last time I fall for that preacher crap.”

In sum, whether the adage that “where there’s smoke, there’s fire” applies to the Cruz-infidelity story is, for now, for you to decide. We at RSBN suspect the soap opera known as the Cruz Campaign will be providing a final answer very shortly.

Of course anyone can sue for anything. But to win you have to prove knew it was false and published it with malicious intent. They don’t have to prove anything. How would you prove they made it up? Infuriating as it may be it would stifle honest reporting otherwise. You could never print any allegations unless the source was willing to go public and testify in court.

I think you're right. I mean, if none of the affairs ever happened, then how on earth would you find 5 women who would accuse Cruz of infidelity? So if Cruz knows the story isn't true, he should assume the worst by the NE. I certainly would if I were in his shoes.

Don't know but I bet I know who you could ask. Sarah Palin, she was accused of having an affair by the N.E.

Did she sue or is she a adulterer? Just using Trump Republic logic here. Explain why she didn't sue? If she isn't a adulterer and didn't sue use that same explanation for Cruz or the women not sueing.

Carly’s campaign was given a lot of money from Cruz which some are saying is sex hush money involving one of Carly’s staff. Supposedly, the Feds are investigating this strange Cruz donation to an opponent.

Trump Republic Smear Merchant #10234. You know it's a lie, we know it's a lie and yet you continue to spam the lie on most all threads you post to. Why? Are you a liar by nature or are you a Troll looking to cause coax here?

But if they just make up testimony from phony witnesses, can't they be sued for slander?

State the specific allegation, sentence and page that it was printed on.

Fact is you can't because they didn't. It was an intentional Smear Job by Donald Trump's personal Friend who owns the N.E. Mr. David Pecker.

Cruz has never issued a very simple statement " I have never cheated on my wife nor will I ever". He has said the story was garbage and full of lies. Why not just issue that simple statement?

The only person keeping this story alive... Is Cruz.

You have no evidence at all Trump did anything with the Cuban Mistress Crisis. On the otherhand, we have evidence the entire “Trump is a PoopyHead” strategy was pre-planned to deflect and confuse the Cuban Mistress Crisis story.

Go back to your NAFTA creating Ivy League DC Insider Lawyer for more smear information. The more people know how slimy the Cruz camp is here with the blame game the worse it will be for the Establishment.

How would you prove they made it up?

Well, Carol Burnett obviously did, because didn't she win megabucks many years ago? So, it can be done. And as poster scruzawa mentioned earlier:

It wouldn’t cost him anything to mention a lawsuit against the NE.

The fact that he's not even mentioning one says so much. But of course, even without that little detail, it seems so obvious that he's lying.

Do you think Judge Judy would buy any of his "excuses"? I don't. I believe she'd call him guilty right away, in the same way that she said she knew that Clinton was lying about Lewinsky.

Cruz denied it, called it garbage.

Note: calling something "garbage" is not the same as calling something untrue.

Has Cruz made a simple and unequivocated statement "I have never been unfaithful to my wife"? I may have missed it.

Burnett won because it was shown that they went well beyond what their sources said in exaggerating the story. Their “source” flatly denied telling them what they alleged. I doubt the Inquirer made that mistake here.

**********************************************************

“In a Washington restaurant, a boisterous Carol Burnett had a loud argument with another diner, Henry Kissinger. Then she traipsed around the place offering everyone a bite of her dessert. But Carol really raised eyebrows when she accidentally knocked a glass of wine over one diner and started giggling instead of apologizing. The guy wasn’t amused and ‘accidentally’ spilled a glass of water over Carol’s dress.”

During the trial, it became apparent that the Enquirer had published the story on the basis of the account of a paid informant, Couri Hays. Hays had told the Enquirer that Burnett had taken her souffle around the restaurant in a boisterous manner, but that she was emphatically not drunk. He had not said anything about Kissinger. An Enquirer reporter had attempted to verify the story but had discovered nothing other than that Burnett had shared her souffle and had conversed with Kissinger. Despite this, it had published the story.

But that’s my whole point. Either Cruz is guilty, or the NE did the exact same thing with him as they did with Burnett. The odds that 5 separate women would falsely accuse him are basically nil, especially since there’s absolutely no evidence that anyone put them up to it.

A third possibility is the sources are wrong or lying. They don't claim the women are the sources. In fact it's unlikely in some cases.
