Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) and "Fox News Sunday" host Chris Wallace clashed Sunday over a watchdog report released that showed Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton didn't comply with rules set by the State Department.
"She was mistaken. She thought it was approved, and the practice was allowed, and she wrong," Schiff said about Clinton's use of a personal email server during her tenure as secretary of State. "The report also makes clear that Secretary Powell also thought it was appropriate to use a personal server, private server," said Schiff, who is also a ranking member on the House Intelligence Committee.
Former Secretary of State Colin Powell also used a personal email account while in office, the report found, but did not do so exclusively, like Clinton did. Schiff claimed the report said Powell used personal email exclusively, which Wallace disputed. Schiff also pointed out that Clinton turned over 55,000 pages of emails while Powell did not.
"The fact that she provided 55,000 pages of emails mitigated the fact that she used a private server," Schiff said. "In the case of Secretary Powell, there was no mitigation. None of those emails were turned over."
Wallace pointed out that it took Clinton two years after leaving office to turn over the emails. "It was two years later," Wallace said, adding that Powell's and Clinton's situations were completely different. "I think we've shown that it is different, and it is a red herring, sir, and I expect more from you," Wallace said to Schiff.
Wait for her to start on the "It's all old news", and "The Vast Right Wing Conspiracy" "is behind it all" in an attempt to deny her the coveted position of Queen of Amer-*cough*, I mean, Presidency and of course there is no longer any need for a co-president now since her female-parts dictate that she must, of necessity, be the only one calling all the shots.

Anything you expose to the Internet in any way is going to have hacking attempts.
You cannot turn on a mail server without attempts to hijack it for a spam relay.
You cannot turn on a webserver without continuous probes to determine the type of product being used, and follow-ups with specific types of attacks designed to exploit known vulnerabilities.
It’s just the nature of the beast. In this particular case, we know the server was exposed to the Internet with an exposed web portal for a specific Microsoft product and version with known, exploitable vulnerabilities and presumably a server that announced itself as such in response to automated requests.
So when Schiff says “a couple of unsuccessful hack attempts”, it’s not even possible for that to be correct. That would be average for a given half-hour for anything hooked up to the network at all... never mind a high value target.
She also deleted 30,000 emails about yoga, which was illegal. And Powell never sent classified material whether marked or not. Hillary throws out red herrings for her trained seals to bark about.
It doesn't matter whether she was talking about yoga or wedding plans.
Once someone received an email from her, THEY were now open to hacking.
So Hillary not only exposed our secret agents, but she exposed our highest secrets, too.
A few dead agents is unforgivable treason, but how do you "fix" the ENTIRE State department's computers?
You can basically consider the whole system shot.

Hillary and her minions keep pushing the idea that Powell did the same. Powell may have had a personal email account, but he didn’t have personal email server.
The fact that Powell hasn’t piped up about this tells us something about him.

You’ve touched on the critical, critical aspect that evidently not one in 100 people seem to understand.
Powell may have sent an email or two or twenty or 100 from his personal email ACCOUNT. ACCOUNT.
Hillary sent EVERY SINGLE ITEM she sent or received from her personal SERVER. SERVER. The machine, regardless of whether it was physically located in NY or in CO. The machine. Running MSFT (or whatever ordinary commercial) software it was running in order to act as the TRANSIT POINT for all of her SOS communications.
We know that server was the exclusive locus of all her email communications as SOS because she never acquired a secure government email address. That means it was readily hackable. That means all of her contacts, senders, receivers, forwardees were available and vulnerable to being hacked. That means that all her messaging was vulnerable. To imagine that this did not result in the exposure of operatives and confidential contacts all over the world is simply inane, and it’s hard to make the case that many were exposed and undoubtedly some have been killed, and others, their cover and thus value blown.
As you say, anything recognizable as such a server is subject to near-continuous hacking probes. And getting past ordinary MSFT (if that’s what it was) email server software is nothing. That is precisely what Guccifer said and apparently did. And he said he was an amateur.
The comparison between sending a few emails from ones personal ACCOUNT (admittedly sited on some standard insecure server) is astronomically different from what HRC did. She placed ALL her SOS communication on an insecure SERVER.
The payoffs that have been laundered theough the Clinton foundation seem more scandalous IMO. Wouldn’t be surprised if the two scandals are linked.

The media has done a good job, unfortunately, of confusing voters about the classified emails. The oncoming release of the details of her racketeering, bribery, money laundering and tax evasion will be understood very well.

I do not seem to recall that Powell ever sent any classified info through his emails. Of course, perhaps "yoga" is codespeak for something entirely different, not that I think Powell ever practiced yoga.
Of course, Mrs Bill also thought it was perfectly appropriate to take the White House silverware with her when she was forced to vacate it. That does not negate the illegality of the action so her beliefs in any of the difficulties she is currently embroiled in seem to be largely irrelevant, and she should be concentrating more on their illegal nature and any possible indictments coming down the line.
Agree with you in everything you just posted. Unfortunately, far too many friends and family members are either Barak Supporters, Mrs. Bill Supporters, or simply liberal/democrat voters who blindly believe and toe the party line.
Really so depressing at times.
