The FBI has released their 2007-2011 Murder Victims by Weapon report. The results are contradictory to anti-gun industry claims that relaxing the ban on assault weapons will cause more crime.
The report indicates you are more likely to be killed by hands or feet than by a rifle or shotgun.
Since 2007 there has been a 16.2% decline in murders committed with personal weapons which are defined as hands, fists, feet etc. The number of murders of this type in 2011 totaled 728.
While gun ownership has dramatically increased since 2007, murders for both the shotgun and rifle categories have seen declines faster than the rate of personal weapons related crime.
The rates of decline for the shotgun and rifle categories are 22.1% and 28.7% respectively. In 2011 there were 356 shotgun murders and 323 rifle murders for a total of 679 murders.
Total murders by hands and feet in 2011 exceed the total number of murders by shotgun and rifle. Does that mean gloves and shoes need regulation because they are concealing deadly weapons? No, but it does mean that there is no need for any further regulation of long arms.

It’s clear that facts must be banned. Nothing in the constitution allows you to stick to the facts.

There was this guy who sat behind me in summer class. He didn’t wear socks and must have had just one pair of those Topsiders leather boat shoes that he wore all the time.
Ever noticed how people who wear those boat shoes don’t look like they would be able to tell port from starboard if their lives depended on it?
Anyway, I don’t think this guy ever washed his feet. Finally I got up and moved. He could have killed someone with that deadly feet smell.

In that case, no one able to stand, kick and swing is unarmed.

Ever noticed how people who wear those boat shoes don't look like they would be able to tell port from starboard if their lives depended on it? Well, I wear deck shoes every day, weather permitting. I used to live on a very luxurious 115 foot yacht named the Global Star back in the early 80's. We took it from Grosse Pointe Yacht Club, out to the Atlantic, by way of Lunenberg Nova Scotia, then down the whole Atlantic sea-board down to West Palm Beach. Then, over to the Bahamas twice. We traveled over 5,000 miles in the time I was on it. Also, I live in Charlevoix, in northern Michigan, Where I am a certified marine mechanic. And lastly, I raced sailboats for over 20 years in the Wednesday night weekly races on Lake Charlevoix, held by the The Charlevoix Yacht club. So yeah, I guess I can tell Port from Starboard.

You air them out every now and then don’t you? A little talcum powder is all it takes.
