He first made headlines in 2005, finishing second place to Carrie Underwood on American Idol‘s fourth season. And now Bo Bice is back in the spotlight — but for a very different reason.
The 41-year-old singer and father of four made headlines recently after an employee at Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen referred to him as “white boy.”
The incident happened at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport on Dec. 30, where the musician claimed a handful of African-American employees mocked his name after he had ordered — calling him “Bow-Bow,” “Boo-Boo,” and “Bo-Bo.” Mistakenly ringing his order in twice, one of the group called for him when his food was ready for a second time. That’s when Bice allegedly heard an employee yell, “He’s already got his — that white boy there.”

““I’m not a bigot — I love everybody,” he told Fox-5 on Tuesday. “If the tables had been turned and I used something as insensitive like that… I would be boycotted, there would be people not buying my albums...”
Bo, no one is buying your albums.
What a COMPLETE JERK. The employees did nothing wrong that I can see and this snowflake gets at least one of them suspended. I partially blame the employer for not supporting their employees.
He’s making a big deal about what may not have been an intended slur, but he is completely correct. If whites are told they have to verbally walk on eggs around minorites, then minorities should have the same presumed responsibility.
At very least, the cashier was not communicating in a professional way. No one likes to be spoken of in 3rd Person, as though the speaker did not think he could hear what she was saying. Just basic workplace courtesy is needed, that’s all. If she had said. “This guy’s order is already filled.”,and turned her head to him, making eye contact while speaking, that would have been more polite.
Yeah I would have lost it but I have a terrible temper.
I probably would have said it’s better than being a @#$# @#$#$ing @#$#$#$ who @#$@#$s @#$@#$.

They should strap a parachute on Bo AND the idiot that wrote this article and toss them out of a plane over Mogadishu.

Dependent on time of day etc MAYBE he was one of a FEW white people in the place and if he had already ‘cried’ at being call bo bo and boo boo, the guy at the counter was just being specific.

Of coures we must take into consideration that if there is a thousand white people in the room and 1 black person, it is ‘against the law’ to point that out.

On a side note, there were difficulties getting a timely serving, but when I complained the black cashier gal was very courteous and expedited my meal. No racism observed.

All hell would break loose. Al Sharpton would be marching with his megaphone. The Black-Lives-Matter nutjobs would be having rallies.
Exactly. The riots , racebaiting and shoplifting would commence, whether they have anything to really complain about or not. Let them live up to their own self imposed standards.

The term has been around a LONG time and it is used quite frequently by blacks.

When I was a career counselor at the unemployment office in Des Moines all the smarter blacks seemed to be heading to Atlanta.
