That’s interesting. They have camouflaged their trucks in India as AFRICAN elephants.

“I camouflaged my Dodge as a Mustang.”
I once had an Aston Martin, with the rusted-out Ford Escort anti-theft protection disguise.

Dear Old Dad was attached to the British Army in India at the close of WW2. He was recovering in a Brit hospital when peace came and he basically hung out until he got enough points to head home. He could not decide if the British Military was brilliant or insane.

One of the books I'm reading now is about Guadalcanal. In the beginning of the war, Navy gunners would practice by shooting up whales, porpoises, etc.
The CNO, Admiral King, put a stop to it, not out of concern for marine life, but for any war materials that might be needed from said marine animals.
I'm just thinking that the IJA aircraft might figure that elephants are useful to the British/Indians, and start shooting them up for practice as well as denying them to the enemy.
How successful was the disguise?

Good analysis.
