Mark Wahlberg and Agency Give $2M to Time's Up Fund After Pay Discrepancy Outcry (Michelle Williams)

Wahlberg and WME are making the donation in the name of Michelle Williams, the co-star paid 1 percent of what Wahlberg was on 'All the Money in the World' reshoots.

Bowing to an outcry over the wage disparity on the reshoots of All the Money in the World, Mark Wahlberg and his agency William Morris Endeavor have agreed to donate $2 million to the Time's Up fund to combat harassment and pay inequities in Hollywood.

"Over the last few days my reshoot fee for All the Money in the World has become an important topic of conversation," Wahlberg said in a statement. "I 100 percent support the fight for fair pay and I’m donating the $1.5 million to the Time’s Up Legal Defense Fund in Michelle Williams’ name.”

WME is making a $500,000 donation as well.

First off, this this is Hollywood, so they can pay actors what they choose and base it on what audiences are willing to see. I assume Michelle Williams signed a contract and knew what she would be paid.

And Wahlberg, no matter what you think of him, is clearly a bigger star and name than Michelle Williams.

He was a fool to do this. This only invites more of this stupidity.

All that said, I am quite happy to see Hollywood eating their own. Good for them. Keep it up.

At one time she was kinda cute.

Then she married Heath Ledger who took a toxic combination of substances. He did not survive it. Didn’t quite make it to 29. Seems like a lot of what killed him was legal, IF prescribed but a lethal combination of several at one time.

I never saw the movie but he played one of the gays in “Brokeback Mountain” and later The Joker in a Batman flick.
