Whenever the economy is on the upswing, there are stories like this.
Back during the dot com boom, there was some restaurant in NYC that was selling ice cream covered with gold leaf, IIRC. It was $100 a serving, or something like that.

It is foolish to grind Kobe beef.
If you made a hamburger out of ground Kobe it wouldn’t taste any better than a hamburger made out of ground supermarket chuck roast.
Making it into a meatball or meatloaf with all the other ingredients and spices is truly a waste of Kobe beef.
