. Democrats hold a nine-point lead over Republicans on the generic House ballot, according to a Fox News poll released Thursday.
According to the survey, 48 percent of voters preferred the Democratic candidate in their House district, compared to 39 percent who preferred the Republican candidate.
That nine-point lead is up from the five-point lead Democrats held in March, the last time Fox News surveyed voters on the matter.
The Fox News survey comes as welcome news for Democrats as they seek to regain control of the House in November's midterm elections.

Nah, the blue wave is over.
I used to put some credence in polls, until November 8, 2016....
Hillary! won by 10 according to most polls.
And Hillary had a 9 point lead over Trump as well.
The last predicted blue wave was Hillary +8% - +14%, on election eve 2016.
Fox News was also the one who kept saying Doug Jones by double digits back in December too.
How pointless is it reacting to these polls every week?
Does the country really flip between Dem/Rep every week? I doubt it.

The FOX polls leading up to the Trump win in 2016 were utter trash.

How did the Dems gain so much in such a short time? Fox polls are never reliable.
National generic polls mean nothing. Dems will win by landslides in the big blue cities, Republicans will win closer races elsewhere. It may turn out that Democrats actually do earn more votes, when you add all of them up. Doesn’t mean that there will be a blue wave.
The last Fox poll had Doug Jones winning in AL: it was on target.
The problem is that most of these GOP candidates are worthless losers, and the voters know it.
Ok, should I dismiss all of their other bad polling? What’s your point?
FOX had some really weird polling tonight, including one saying that a large number of Republicans think Trump should testify to Mueller and that a surprising number believe Trump is guilty of Russian collusion. Really? WTH FOX? Did you commission Democrat Underground or the DNC to make up this polling?
Face it, the Democrats have no positive political agenda. What they do have is:
1. Impeach Donald Trump, or at least nullify his administration.
2. Raise taxes to some inordinate level on “the rich”.
3. Dismantle so much of “The Wall” as has now been constructed, and defund the Border Patrol, making them totally ineffective.
4. Revive Obamacare and reinstate all the regulations that were declared inoperative under Trump.
5. Obliterate what remains of most of the Bill of Rights.
After Bella Abzug lost the NY Democrat Senate primary, mostly because she lost the West Village (her home), they asked Ed Koch what he thought.
He shrugged. "Her neighbors know her".
That's the problem with the GOP retaining the House.
The only thing normal Americans hate more than their local Democrats is their local Republicans.
