Can anyone else go outside and take shoot some decent local photos of tonight's Venus-Moon event with your DSLR?

A great program to follow along with stellar events is Stellarium. I was able to identify Venus, Jupiter, Antares and Spica while I watched the Venus/Moon event tonight.

as the early evening progressed, the west coast ‘sky dust’
influenced their appearance, changing both into light orange
and light brown...what a sight...

Had that here in the Appalachians.
Moon was bright orange and huge on the horizon.
Awesome.
