You’re gonna have to connect the dots for me on this..

What are they facilitating?

For them, this is “In Case of Emergency” - ICE.

The “ice wife.” Aren’t they all after a few years?

You may need a little “ICE” for the response beatdown you’re going to receive on this thread.

“They are encouraging their customers to commit a serious felony!”

Why is putting a phone number to report immigration and customs violations a felony?

I was thinking you were talking about where you can enter all of your medical information, as that is supposed to be confidential. Although I’m guessing that if you are warned it can be accessed - you wouldn’t put stuff on there you don’t want getting out, and by putting the information in there you have agreed to waive confidentiality. Blood type, medical issues, etc. would be good for first responders to know.

It’s under “Medical” so maybe it’s the emergency contact number to get ice for your sprained ankles and wrists to reduce inflammation and swelling?

Dude, relax. This is the shortcut to get ahold of the rapper Vanilla Ice.

I see something similar (but no ICE or siren).

There's text that says:

Emergency medical information
Enter your medical information for use in an emergency. This information can be accessed while your phone is locked.

Then when you click on the text (above), there's a big disclaimer about how your profile information (name, photo, birthday, and the health information your enter) will be accessible to others without unlocking the lock screen.

It’s not on mine.

Probably because "they" know you're "legal". :)

I = In C = Case E = Emergency

Yea, but where does the "of" come in, could be a trick.

Sorry, but Android and Google Make their money from selling/using your personal data. Apple doesn’t do that, they protect the security of your data going so far as to even protect it from Apple.

Just remember, don’t put your girlfriend in as another emergency contact. Your wife can see that w/o a password. ;-)

I’m laughing at you, not with you.

ICE - In Case of Emergency. So if the mugger doesn’t steal your phone, the cops can tell your designated survivor you’ve been shot without having to wait to ID the body and track down your next of kin.
