Tim Allen: Liberals have little sense of humor about themselves, 'so I love poking at it'

Tim Allen thinks nothing is more effective at pissing people off than a "very funny conservative."
"I like pissing people off, and I said theres nothing, especially in this area, that pisses people off more than a very funny conservative, a smart, funny conservative that takes shots and is certainly self-effacing," Allen said in an interview with IndieWire about his show "Last Man Standing," in which he plays a conservative-leaning character.
"The left-wing point of view is so pervasive that they dont even realize its a point of view. It is just a point of view," he said. "I think this character likes that, he likes to have another point of view. It makes him sharper and more interesting. But we dont push it."

Wow...still cannot believe you lost all of OC. The plan is going right on schedule. The left will infiltrate the red states even more now with their invaders.
That Young Kim should have won.

I’ve been watching “Last Man Standing” for the first time ever this season. It really is a well-written, well-acted, very funny show. In complete contrast to “The Conners”, which has the worst acting and “The Big Bang Theory” with it’s fake laugh tracks and overly-witty and scripted conversations that don’t reflect reality.

He’s naturally funny. I watch tool time...and crack up. The second youngest son is a natural, too. The little twerp has attained the art of sarcasm.

I saw Tim Allen do standup this weekend.
The biggest laugh of the night was when he mocked CNN for being a "news" organization.
And the show was in deep blue Connecticut.

And the show was in deep blue Connecticut. With the levels of vote fraud we are seeing, it's getting unfair to call any state Deep Blue. Connecticut and California might actually be populated with 50% conservative Trump supporters - but their GOPs would stlll "magically" lose every election 70-30%.

I love Last Man Standing, and I think it's doing quite well for its first season back, but try to catch the original on WGN and CMT, it was even better back then. The original "Mandy" was really so incredibly charming, and I actually liked the original Kristen better as well (they replaced her after the first season.) The show, with all three girls interacting was really great.
All in all, it's really become my favorite show on TV, and tend to binge watch it on Wednesday and Thursday nights on WGN.
I also think that "The Cool Kids" is pretty good, after "Last Man Standing" on Friday nights.

Good show, unlike the putrifying excrement that passes for prime time entertainment.

I didn’t realize Tim Allen was still doing stand up.

In Connecticut, the Dems signed up voters after 8pm (polls closes at 8pm) at University of Connecticut and Yale...and the judge said the voters we're in line...
Glad I'm out of CT...Now Mr. Toll (Need LaMont) will wreck the state that Malloy couldn't do...

Nice. I didnt realize Tim Allen was still doing stand up. That would a great show to see.
He does about 10 or 12 shows a year, most of them are in Vegas. This one was at the Foxwood Casino in Connecticut. The theatre seats about 4,000, the tickets weren't cheap, yet the show quickly sold out.

All shows are a little bit stiff the first season, and The New Kids feels a bit stiff, but I think that it will settle in. It's cute. I've always loved Vickie Lawrence and Martin Mull. David Allen Greer is great, and I don't know the name of the other actor, but I know I've seen him before, and he's just a hoot. I think with the changes in Last Man Standing, it's going through the same thing, but luckily they've "stuck to their guns" enough to be successful.
Still, I can't get enough of the original shows on WGN and CMT, and binge watch them every chance I get (Wednesday and Thursday night on WGN.) Mark

The people who need fun poked at the the most are the ones who take it the worst.
It's called "aversion therapy." It's also called a helluva lot of fun.
