No, I’m not. Walls support a roof to protect from the elements. A better analogy is the one about locked doors & crime.

The walls cited by some folks do exist around some celebrities’ homes and, perhaps, some politicians’ homes, but not Pelosi’s or Schumer’s.

No, walls are not just there to support a roof, and to protect from the elements.   They also keep people (and animals) out.   That's one of the reasons people created and started using walls.   (Banks use extra-strong, reinforced building walls.   They are not extra-strong walls just to support the roof, or to keep the rain or the mice out, but they are there to keep people out, and to protect the bankers and the money.   House walls serve that same purpose.)   Lynette merely said, "Don't your walls protect you?", which applies 100% to both Nancy and Chucky (and to me, and probably you).

As I stated prior, I get their drift, but this logic is nonsensical to the argument of a border wall.

Go ahead if it makes you feel better.

BTW, just what was the purpose of a “fort” back in the day if the walls of the cabins were so effective???

Why are the walls of prisons insufficient themselves to keep prisoners inside?

That's a straw man argument.   No one is saying an extra wall around the perimeter of a property doesn't provide extra protection (although prisoners do escape from prisons with external, perimeter walls too), but, like "Diamond" simply said, the walls they have do protect them.

(By the way, that house you provided a picture of is NOT Pelosi's only home.   She is one of the wealthiest women in America, and actually owns many homes and properties, some of which do have perimeter walls, in addition to their regular walls, and both the perimeter walls and building walls serve to protect her.   Just do a little more research on "Pelosi's properties", and you will see why Diamond's statement makes complete sense.)

Whatever makes you feel better, straw man.

"Whatever makes you feel better, straw man."

The truth does, half-truther-man.

Back atcha, but it's not a noble effort if it's hyperbole or exaggeration. The other side can espouse propaganda; I don't need DS blowing smoke up my kilt's backside.

Case in point, this 3 foot wall marking Pelosi's vineyard property.

Nice try.   Nancy Pelosi said that "a border wall is immoral", not just a border wall taller than 3 feet, or 5 feet, or 10 feet, just "a border wall".   She does have a border wall on that property, and probably on many of her other ten or more fancy homes and other properties she has here and there.

Your picture is obviously from a remote end of her huge vineyard, but let's take another quick couple looks at that same Pelosi vineyard property, at different parts of it, and different angles.

Anyone who tries to claim that a wall like that cannot provide protection, is quite simply, ignorant, and 100% wrong.   It could be electrified, and most likely has various triggers for intruder alarms, as well as video observation and recording devices, and possibly a bunch of inaudible alarms for badass guard dogs, as well as possible alerts for some armed guards, and who knows what else.   Believe me, you don't want to try to breech any of Pelosi's residential walls, or trespass on any of Pelosi's walled properties illegally, otherwise, you probably won't be around anymore to post anything.

You can deny it over and over again, but the actual truth is, Pelosi's house walls and her perimeter walls are both there to protect her and her property.   I'm done arguing with you about this.   If you can't see that simple fact, too bad.

You want to dig in & double down? Fine.

The segment of stone wall I posted is about 3 feet high. The vinyl fencing is commercial and is listed at 4 feet. That is not a “wall”.

You state “Your picture is obviously from a remote end of her huge vineyard”: Talk about straw man. If one section is taller and the remainder is short, what’s the point? The wall keeps out nothing. It marks a boundary, equivalent to a 3 foot tall border fence at a fraction of the projected cost with a nice, 20 foot tall fence section at ports of entry. Is THAT what you’re proposing???

This argument is total BS. Hyperbole. So goes the DS position. I like DS, but this is no different than CNN. Yet again, as stated prior, whatever makes you feel better.

Emotions & all.

I won’t be mocked for using lousy examples to get a rise out of my thousands of followers...which is exactly what we’re talking about here, is it not???

Or maybe you have a genuine example of a security perimeter protecting a US Congressman? I couldn’t find one for Pelosi & Schumer. DS certainly didn’t post a damned thing.

Fire away.
