Amazing footage of Queen Victoria has been unearthed after being discarded for decades in an archive at a New York museum.
It shows the monarch being greeted by dignitaries on a trip to Ireland in 1900 just one year before she died in what is believed to be the last time she was caught on camera.
In the crisp black and white footage, Victoria, who appears to be wearing sunglasses, smiles as she is handed a huge basket of flowers by two girls, who curtsy as they approach her.
She is also seen holding an umbrella which she seems to be using to shade herself from the sun.

Love that 8th pic. The TV version has really tarted them up.
I like Jenna Coleman’s version better.
Is she the one who ate human flesh for medical reasons?
She was supposedly a user of cannabis for certain pains
I was expecting something barely viewable. That was actually, clean, amazingly sharp, and even speed corrected!
I bet the Royals do, too.
Comely gal. /s
She loved her Albert
I’m loving that now. Jenna is a fantastic actress.
I guess a new season is in the works. Seems like someone is about to die...
I’m on season 2 right now. I am excited there will be a season 4. I love Albert’s brother but right now I assume he has syphilis?
I shan’t tell.
Oh ok but I want to see him hook up with Harriet.
We have an exchange student from Argentina who is stuck here until flights open up. We are about to finish Season One of Poldark. Do you watch that as well? She watched one episode of Downton Abbey but wasn’t too enthused. We also watched Masterpiece versions of Les Miserables, Little Women, and Jane Eyre. She wants to binge like most kids so we have to pace her.
I watched every season of Poldark 5 times. I had to make myself stop from watching. I loved Downton and have watched each season 4 times. I loved Shetland but that is not free anymore on Prime so I could not obsess over it. I also loved After Life.
Did you have a PBS Passport? I think it is only $60 a year and you can watch everything. I suppose you watched “World on Fire.”
No I have the Amazon Prime those shows were all free. Shetland was free and I managed to finish all of it and then it changed over to Britbox with fees. Have you watched Home Fires? That was fantastic but cancelled after two seasons. I love Samantha Bond.
Nope, we missed that one. My wife prefers the “period” films.
