We live on an insignificant planet in an insignificant solar system in an insignificant galaxy in an insignificant area in one of possibly many universes. I fail to see how any of us is qualified to answer the question of extraterrestrial life with any degree of certainty.
Could be already here, could have been for eons living under the oceans. Don't need light speed for getting around Earth for that. Observing and occasionally diddling like Jane Goodall from some blind. A chimp would be no more equipped to describe what a helicopter ferrying in Jane would be to the other chimps than a human would be able to understand the alien ass-prober's shuttles we perhaps refer to as UFOs. The things that people report as being aliens might not even be biological. Maybe AI. Maybe something in-between artificial and bio.
A billion year technological headstart; There's not a human alive who can even begin to imagine what that looks like.
Not to disparage the MEN of Apollo (and sorry gals, they were all men), but they were really too busy trying to get their asses back to planet earth to even give an Illegal the time of day.

Yehova has beings in his presence that certainly would be alien to us.
I can’t image the rest of the whole place being devoid of other intelligent civilizations.

It’s not that he’s being dishonest.....its that what he “thinks” is irrelevant. He has no idea, nor can he know if there is life of any kind elsewhere in the universe. He could have chosen the correct answer- “I dont know” instead he chose to guess.
