Poland risked blundering out of the EU with a new gagging law on judges, former EU Council president Donald Tusk and others have warned.
And its rejection of EU energy policy was a form of treason, Tusk added.
Simultaneously, Polish anti-LGBTI mores were making it look even more like a pariah, the European Parliament (EP) indicated.
We [Poland] are leaving the EU step by step. Its not an exaggeration. This departs from all the norms on which the European Union is built, Tusk told press in Gdansk, on Polands Baltic coast, on Wednesday (18 December). [ ]
The law would ban Polish judges from referring some questions to the EU court in Luxembourg, violating the EU treaty on primacy of European law in member states.
It would also ban judges from attending protests like those on Wednesday, where several of them showed up, and from criticizing PiS (Prawo i Sprawiedliwość/Law and Justice Party) in public.

“risked” ?
“blundering”?
They should be so lucky. Poland is about the smartest country in Europe now, along with Hungary.
Tusk is a traitor.
If Poland can get kicked out of the EU, can the US somehow get kicked out of the UN?
We need to research that.
Maybe the trick is “blundering out”, whatever that means.
When it comes to the UK, the EU-leaning press has said stuff that a no-deal “Brexit” is the equivalent of the UK “crashing out of” the EU.
It’s time for POLEave.
Somehow Brussels had a war and enslaved europe that I missed...
The time to leave the Union of German Socialist Republics is now. They will only get more oppressive, and soon, withdrawal will bring increased political, economic, and financial isolation. It only gets worse from here...
Rejection of energy policy is treason? So their God-Dictator Is Gaia?
if enough countries are kicked out of the EU and/or voluntarily exit like UK is fixing do do, they can formulate their own tariff-free trade treaty if they like, but still maintain complete national sovereignty along with their own national currencies ... in the end, this trade group would likely be stronger than an EU whose members are regulated to death by an un-elected group of elitist bureaucrats ...
Poland would do fine cutting trade deals with Russia and other non-EU countries. Since they appear to have no suicide wish, why should they stay in the EU?
Soros is very displeased with you, Poland.
And you know what happens when George is displeased.
Globalism is being rejected. The EU experiment to make Europe like the USA (states and federal) may work for the US but the EU has a hundred times longer history and many different languages to keep it from being one people. They are after all a group of different country’s; not states under one common flag.
Throw in the muslim refugee hot mess and that’s just too many wrenches thrown into the machinery. I think when other country’s see how well the UK does after Brexit; more will follow.
The world is too diverse to be under one banner IMHO. Maybe one day when we have millions of people living on other planets from all different countries...
The EU was never an experiment to make the continent like the USA in any way, shape or form. It has nothing to do with the USA in its governmental structures or its constitutional laws, but more like a former neighbor to its east. Every EU treaty proclaims “respect for the Charter of the United Nations” in its text, and the UN’s charter was patterned after the 1936 USSR constitution that came to be under Stalin’s dictatorship.
Vladimir Bukovsky, a Soviet dissident, compared the EU’s Commission to the USSR’s Politburo, and its Parliament to the Supreme Soviet since the EU Parliament writes no laws at all but instead the unelected Commission does (and passes them) while the Parliament just rubber-stamps them.
One more thing: The first notion of a united Europe came out of the mouth of Kaiser Wilhelm II, who stated that he intended to create “a United States of Europe against America”. One has to know the roots of what we see here on the scene today to understand its true purpose.
lol
...Poland risked blundering out of the EU...
How can we “blunder” out of the UN? and maybe NATO? and “blunder” our troops out of some countries.
And “blunder” our way into cutting foreign aid to certain countries.
a lot of “blundering” might do the US some good :)
You’d make a great Cosigliere.
That’s a compliment :)
POLExit
And the Brits say, Aw, DAMN!! Thats all we needed to get out of the EU??
