NEW: NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo announces 69 new cases in New York State and over 400 tests taken since last night, an improvement he says from several days ago when only 200 tests a day were administered.

19% of the 729 total cases have led to hospitalizations.

Bring Out Your Dead

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.

The false positive rate was 100%.

At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

If a quarantine saves just one child's or one old fart’s life, it's worth it.

A retired Army friend sent me the following today, along with the front of the book and the page with this paragraph circled in red. MOST interesting:

By Dean Koontz. A book entitled “The eyes of darkness.” Published in 1981. On page 312 it says:

“In around 2020, a severe pneumonia like illness will spread throughout the globe, attacking the lungs and the bronchial tubes and resisting all known treatments. Almost more baffling than the illness itself will be the fact that it will suddenly vanish as quickly as it arrived, attacking again ten years later, then disappear altogether.”

I believe I had it. As does the wife as she also had it.
Flew from Mesa AZ to Appelton Wi the 4th of Jan and came back the 8th. Lady next to me was sick and sure as hell I got it.

Got all the symptoms they list of this thing. I have COPD. THIS IS A DAM PANIC caused by the media and hysterians.

Here is how we managed it.

Drank massive amounts of water and juice, green tea. Ate tomato soup, and soda crackers. Got in front of the heater and breathed in all that nice hot air. Covered up with a heavy blanket and watched a ton of docu’s on my smart TV. Got into the hot tub after I turned the thing up to 95 degrees, a few times.

After that day the fever broke, got outside and did a ton of yard work. Took several hikes around here. The third day I went back to work-I work part time in the woods up round -———— —. Set up work sites for the logging crew which a man has to walk a lot-all day.

That was it. The dry cough was aggravating as hell, like all those. Then it started to break and I thought no more of it.

My wife? She got it and it laid her low though. But she is so dam pigheaded she wouldnt do the same as I did. We are good to go now.

Like the lady who almost ran me over with her shopping cart as i entered BJ’s earlier today.
She looked terrified.
BTW BJ’s (sort of like SAMs Club) had plenty of everything.
Anyhow, a saw her a couple more times darting around the store like she was fighting for her life.

It is at least as contagious as the common cold, but much deadlier.

A better comparison is the flu.

Flu is less contagious (R naught of around 1.5, vs Corona at 2.5+).

The flu is also less deadly for those who contract it, coming in at 0.1% mortality vs 1-3% for corona.

It is a significant and substantial difference.

Just be happy that it has not infected 60+ mil as the flu does every year.

—No vaccine
—No proven cure
—Ten to twenty times the fatality rate
—No herd immunity
—Unstopped, 60% infection, 15% severe hospitalization rate with a third of those requiring ventilators
—While most who will die are elderly, several hospitalization is required for all age groups
—Aerosol
—Highly contagious in air and on a variety of surfaces
—Public officials are lying about several of these, causing overconfidence among young people
—This destroyed the supply chain in China which nowadays is so critical to the world economy

How much water. etc. did we drink? Enough so we had to pee every half hour to 40 minutes. Constantly going to the toilet.

How can I be sure the people listed as dead from corona virus actually died from it?

Are you saying I can trust the media?

Are you saying I can trust leaders in the medical profession—the ones with roots and tentacles stretching into and beyond Big Pharma, Big Health Care and Big Deep State?
