2 Trillion for Washington's Virus Bill = 6,060.00 per Person.

The numbers speak for themselves.

Rather than "give" 6,000.00 per person to the individuals to use as they see fit, Washington demands their cut: 1,000.00 back (maybe) IF you have less than 90,000.00 income limit, otherwise nothing.

And the rest going to the people the Washington political class selects and the democrat's ABCNNBCBS press corpse approves!

2 trillion is roughly 1/10 of the entire US economy. How will they spend all of that in two months?

I agree with you.

A third will flow back to the Federal government in the form of taxes. In addition to disbursements likely being taxable income, every time it’s spent, the labor of what was bought pays taxes.

The loans will get paid back. Equities can be sold.

And the alternatives are bad.

Well, how about using preventive medicine principles to stop this historic, country ruining pandemic. During the V. Nam War, which could not have been conducted without the US military taking chloroquine 500mg orally once a month to keep the fight going on without the US forces in Army MASH tents instead of fighting?

It is the identical situation with Coronavirus. We have all eyes focused on in-hospital treatment with hydroxychloroquine just starting in the US as it has been proven in China, S. Korea, Italy. Belgium that arbitrary selection of HC and chlorquine successfully treat CV19 in the hospital

It costs less than $2 a tablet for 200mg of Hydroxychloroquine for Rh Arth patients. They take safely, 200mg a DAy, 6000mg a month for decades without much problem up to five years and minimal problems after that except for retinitis from long term use.

The acute HC 5 day total dosage is 2800mg, and has proven safe.

CV10 exposure doses are tiny and only significant for causing disease after 5.1 days of incubation.

So, with a single 400mg dose of HC, with a half life of 22-days/three weeks, only half of the dose is gone in 22 days and is repeated on the first day of the next month.

I submit that for $2 a month, 330M people in the US can likely be prevented from even contracting CV10 or even the flu, for $660 million a month for any 7 month long official flu season.

This pandemic is probably going to last thru the end of the next flu season, next April, about 12 months from now.

12 months of preventing CV19 with a $2 a month for 12 months is right at $8B dollars a vast pittance from the $2.200 billion Coronavirus Bill just passed,

THE US NIH proved in 2005 that in cell culture, chloroquine just being present 1 hour, killed Covid-2/SARS virus in 2 hours.

I submit that since viral exposures are small before replication, a small dose of HC, lasting all the way to the end of a month, to be repeated the day after on the first of the month is the solution ignored by all national “experts”:.

A vaccine is not here yet, although we could have had one 10 years ago. For now we need cheap effective medicine to stop CV19 from infecting people. WE HAVE ONE HC!.

It is manufacture in quantities to serve non-viral disease purposes. We know that it will kill COVID-19 from the old study, not followed up by the NIH.

We are using destructive debt issuance that will not stop the CV19 virus at all and focuses, willfully on in-hospital treatment that should be prevented by prophylactic doses as stops malaria.

We were able to fight malarie in Viet Nam with single monthly doses of chloroqauine. We can fight CV19 with single monthly doses of Hydroxychloroquine or even weekly with great affordability.

Any country that can issue @2.2T can issue $800B to prevent any occupant in the US from contracting CV19 and even other viral illnesses.

Scenario: Truckers are right now refusing to drive into NYC. Soon it will be military convoys delivering food, drugs, hospital supplies. I bet all miitary personnel driving into NY will be taking 400 mg a month of hydroxychloroquine

A company is right now preparing to make 50 milion HC 200mg tabs. Want to bet they go to the military??!!

“ You would rather have ISIS running rampant?”

Our invasions made the Middle East a playground for ISIS. As Trump has said, Saddam was the most efficient killer of jihadi terrorists, and Bush eliminated him. After that and ever since, Iraq has been overrun with fanatical Islamists. One of the things they’ve done is kill or drive out almost all the Christians

Sounds like you’re a bushbot-cheneycot neocon type who’s still in favor of all those wars, so I don’t expect to get through to you. Thank God Trump at least broke the spell for most average Republicans and they realize Bush / Cheney / McCain we’re wrong. But there are always going to be some who can’t let go

That is all

Well, it was Obola that used the term “Medical Corpsman” when awarding a medal to a US Navy Corpsman serving with the Marines.

Yes. The national press corpse is a valid term.

Americans overall will get pennies on the dollar. That stupid check is pennies. Does anyone have any idea what 2 Trillion could actually do,where most of the money is going and who will be paying for this first 2 Trillion ? (we may spend 4 Trillion more)

I agree we may get consumer inflation this time. Don’t think they’re done in Washington stimulating. Plus this one has a supply chain shock, not just a credit problem.

“It would be simpler to cut taxes for the rest of the year.”

Many people won’t have much of an income this year so cutting taxes isn’t going to help them at all.

The bill might stink but its either that or President Biden which will cost the country much, much more.

I really need to hire a couple of jobs out. Tree service, demolition work, roof, .... unfortunately I have to pay all the taxes and don’t get shit out of this 2 trillion dollar give away. Maybe poor people will hire those people. My guess is no. Big screen TVs made in China, fentanyl / heroine / sneakers / iPhones ... all made in China ... will be in big demand.

Who made that chart? Because making $140k does not seem like it is “middle class.” And that is a huge range: $45k - $140k.

The cost is more than all income taxpayers pay in a year on the USA.
Get ready for all products to go up in price. The 150,000,000. Pay the 2,200,000,000 000.

Adding in the additional money allocated to the Fed the number is more like 11,000 per person. That's one of the issues Rep. Massie highlighted in his attempt to at least have the rest of the House do their constitutional duty, and to have them do a roll call vote so the citizens would know who voted for and against the bill.

While a person gets 1200 dollars, various corporate interests and banks get more than 10,000, supposedly to save the jobs of the people getting the 1200 dollars. More likely it will make the taxpayers pay the losses of big corporations while they get to keep the profits that accrue in the future.

“Many people won’t have much of an income this year”

I hear what you’re saying ... and the government wants them to see checks as some sort of compensation for this fiasco I suppose. I get it.

But there are a lot of people that will won’t see any reduction in income this year. Many in management and such are working at home and carrying on just fine.

(so why are they getting guvmint money if their income is not affected?).

Election year politics by an incumbent President running for reelection plus the usual suspects.
