Almost 10 percent of the crew of the aircraft carrier Theodore Roosevelt have tested positive for the novel coronavirus, while hundreds of test results remain to be reported, the Navy said Friday morning.
Of the 92 percent of the crew that has been tested, 447 have tested positive for COVID-19. The Navy is awaiting results for 775 sailors and 339 have yet to be tested, according to a Navy official with knowledge of the tests.
The San Diego-based carrier has a total crew of roughly 4,845 service members, including its embarked air wing and command staff.
The Roosevelt pulled into Guam March 26 after several sailors on board tested positive for COVID-19.
A letter written by the ship’s commanding officer, Capt. Brett Crozier, asking the Navy for more assistance for its sailors was leaked and broadly publicized, resulting in Crozier’s firing on April 2. Days later, then-acting Navy secretary Thomas Modly flew to the western Pacific island and, in a profanity-laced speech over the Roosevelt’s public address system, said Crozier was naive and stupid if he believed his letter wouldn’t be leaked.
Modly resigned Tuesday, a day after audio of that speech also leaked and was broadly publicized.
On Thursday, one sailor from the carrier who tested positive for COVID-19 on March 30, was found unresponsive in his isolation room and transported to the intensive care unit at Naval Hospital Guam. The Navy did not provide an update for the sailor’s status Friday. At least 3,155 sailors have moved to facilities on the island after testing negative.

So after all the DC and media-manufactured panic, a mere 10% of the young sailors working in close quarters aboard the TR tested positive for Coronavirus. We know that for healthy, young people, up to 80% of those will be asymptomatic. That means a mere 89 sailors might show some symptoms. the CDC has already told us that the death rate for healthy, young people under 34 years old is extremely small.
The TR was NEVER at risk. No one was suppressing Crozier’s opinion, and coronavirus was an issue facing the whole Navy, not just Crozier’s ship. Crozier had a wide range of options available to him - from mass testing, to providing everyone HCQ, to wearing masks, to increasing cleaning of the ship, to bring aboard more medical personal, etc…
Yet, he, or someone, decided to neutralize a forward-deployed Aircraft carrier, America’s most expensive weapons system, to play a little deep-state politics.
0.2% ICU admission. Not very effective weapon.

The other thing is this. The quarters are very tight. People go on about the cruise ships. But a navy ship is a lot more of very close contact then even the lowest budget cruise ship. If this thing is that contagious why isn’t it closer to 90% instead of 10%?

Exactly. We know young, healthy people are hardly affected. The whole “Hero Captain” thing was a total farce and political ploy. We don’t need the Chinese or Russians to neutralize America’s Navy, our own captains and half of the Pentagon bureaucracy will do it for them.
This would seem to be incomplete reporting, but the "right" message if you're just looking to instill a little fear. "Oh my gosh! Look how many people are infected there!" Yeah, but...

Every Navy Ship should be immediately at sea IMO the moment an epidemic happens.
Find out which ones get infected and quarantine their crews.
Pentagon will be strategy planning this exact scenario for decades.

The cat is out of bag and screaming like a banshee. There’s no point in hiding it. If the USN is getting it, then maybe China’s military is getting it too.
