You are absolutely right on all points.

Give me an example of how the democrats will use my own information against me. Thank you!

...This is why I’ve never used my real name on the internet.

Since the beginning of the interwebs, I have not trusted the dispersion of personally identifiable data. Only those references that are in fact Public can be traced back to me, unless one has state level capabilities. I am under no illusion that a persistent search might actually be fruitful, but nothing I do encourages it.

This was "exposed" in The Rockford Files episode titled "The House On Willis Avenue." Since it was the late '70s a world conglomerate was building a huge underground complex of computers (that would probably be one server rack today.)

At the end of the episode they ominously texted that gathering and storing information as described in the episode was not illegal. Well, their warning didn't work!

Since I never borrow money, and don’t need any more jobs, and do not commit any crimes, can you give me one example of how the democRats can hurt me?

When these sites get data from non-internet government and finance sources and publish it, all the non-posting of data and pictures on the internet is fairly worthless.

They also harvest data from LinkedIn, Monster, Glassdoor and any other job site from your resume. As that’s the only way to get employment these days, your information is out there.

They just can use the same process as a debt collector or skip-tracer and publish your data. And for $××.××, anyone can buy it.

I went to my MYLIFE profile and put in a bunch of gibberish data in lieu of them not deleting my profile at my request.

At least it was fun to create the image that I am a multi millionaire that owns two Bentleys and that I have 12 kids. BTW my "reputation" score went way up with this.

They do not need your real name from internet postings.

They have you real name from DOL, your doctor, your hospital, your dentist, your bank, your insurance company, your passport, your birth certificate, your voter registration, your credit cards etc. Most of this information is public records.

I have never used my real name nor my real birthdate on the internet. MyLife has them both listed correctly, so my question is: who sold this information? It could only be a credit card company or credit bureau, a bank, a healthcare provider, the IRS or other government agency, the tax program I use, a school I attended, an employer I worked for.

I’m not overly concerned about those things being out there though. Why not? Because my identity has already been stolen twice — the first through a breach at my healthcare insurance company, the second the Experian breach that snagged millions of us.

After the first one I froze my credit info with all three credit bureaus including Experian (ironic, yes?). It isn’t foolproof but it’s better than doing nothing.

Yes, there’s way too much information out there, all of it is beyond our control, and I didn’t sign on for any of it.

It is sort of the old bear joke where you don’t have to outrun the bear, just your jogging partner.

That was one of my mother’s favorite sayings. She never saw a bear except in the zoos, until she was 70 something at Jellystone park.

One of our SIL’s carries a 32 caliber pistol hiking, biking and basically everywhere. Most of her relatives laughed at such a puny gun.

Her reply/joke, was she didn’t have to outrun anyone if attacked by bears/?. Just kneecap someone and walk away.

The state of Florida lists detailed voter information online. Name, address, DOB, party affiliation, etc. Easy enough for these businesses to scrape that data. Only legislation will stop these website shake down artists.

3 years ago we joined the biggest HMO on the west coast. Their data mess kept trying to say that I was single and lived in several Oregon/Washington/Idaho cities.

Our 50 year old sons were the ones on my database, listed as me.

We have lived in the same house/address in California for 40 years.

Later, one son joined the same HMO. They showed him still living at home. He had left our home 30 years ago.

The love of his life was listed as her mother, who died 30 years ago, she was supposedly living at the address of her mother’s 30 years ago.

I recently discovered my daughter’s photo on a MyLife internet connection- I was horrified.

Also posted an FR thread concerning a McAfee technician linking to my computer and opening my BANK ACCOUNT - displaying user name and PASSWORD!!!! Instead of crediting my c.card for a small duplicate subscription he credited $3,100.00. I had my bank handle it - to make sure it was real money.

Tech Geek cleaned my computer - removed McAfee. Changed passwords, cancelled bank cards etc. Cost me money!!!!

Might have to quit using my laptop - too old - not smart;)

Moan and complain all yas want!
ALL my information that is on federal and military records was hacked by the Chinese during Obama’s presidency. ALL my information on Yahoo was hacked during Obama’s stay. ALL my banking information, too, under Obama. So, everything from 1980 till 2015, of any record, personal from high school through Vietnam, the Cold War, federal, state, and private industry, plus anything I ever published for the general public, all hacked.
45 years of information stolen.

"I have nothing to hide"

When a sufficient number of people have immigrated into the country to turn this into a one-party state, and the progressives gain control of the Democrat Party, then having been a Freeper will be all the info they need to send you to a reeducation camp.

“having been a Freeper will be all the info they need to send you to a reeducation camp.”

When they start that crap, word will get out after the first ‘casualty’... then the rest of us start killing their children, metaphorically of course......
