Why are All My Friends Marxists?
Conversations That Matter ^ | June 2nd, 2020 | John Harris

Posted on 06/16/2020 8:15:25 AM PDT by Bishop_Malachi

While friends and family are lamenting their "white privilege" and vowing to own their complicity in "systemic oppression," Jon explains how a Marxist revolution is actually taking place, and it's not just a political movement---it's a new religion.

TOPICS: Religion; Society
KEYWORDS: leftist; marxism; traditionalism; woke
I found this video -posted a couple of weeks ago. It's a little lengthy ( 1 hour and 24 minutes), but there is no need to watch it all. It's an interesting perspective from a young, educated, Christian male about the Marxist ideology that has saturated virtually every institution (including churches) in the U.S.

The Catholic Pope is a good example of a marxist

This whole thing is a religion, or rather a cult.

Obeisance to the media gods.

To be honest, the Fed is not helping matters.
Socialize losses, privatize profits - this has been the game plan by the Fed for years now. The Fed balance sheet is $10 Trillion and counting, they are buying corporate debt and treasuries weekly. This is "moral hazard" - bailing out the super rich allows them to suffer no consequences for their actions.

I am a proud capitalist, but what we have right now ain't it.

No wonder the communists have pitchforks out...

Good point! What we are experiencing is not the “Free Market”. If axes on small businesses are so crippling, it is extremely hard to make it, while Megacorporations oh no taxes!?! This cannot continue...

Marxism has always been about religion, and its influence is fostered by the substitution of some impossible-to-attain idealistic paragon for an almighty Creator.

The key here is in the substitution. Marxism has to disavow even the existence of a formal religion, but there remains a vacuum that can only be filled with some imaginary projection of a truly selfless, altruistic society of individuals that all think as of one mind.

Socialism as proposed has never worked for any human being, because the natural tendency of every living creature is to acquire as much of the resources of this planet for itself FIRST, not to the point of mere satisfaction, but to the point of sheer avarice. Only when avarice is sated, does there appear the first glimmerings of sharing, and doing good for others. And even this is often perverted and twisted as the torch is handed down from one generation to the next.

When all else is stripped away, the false promise of equality that is held up as the ideal of socialism is simply dropped, and by necessity, the elite that has found its way into control must continue the command-and-control mindset, becoming, willingly or not, a militaristic society, indistinguishable from all the other strongman cultures that have emerged over the ages of mankind. Kill the king, you can take his job. But if you take a shot at the king, and miss, no one weeps for you. The consequences are swift and final.

Right, but goes without saying - the leadership sets the tone.

Yes I don’t see the risk for big corporations anymore when if something bad happens they are covered by the Fed gov

That’s a win-win situation for them
