Heres a brief (30 seconds) video of an old fellow out for a walk. He keeps up a slow but steady pace until he sees an American flag flying over someones front lawn.
Most likely ex-military.
...
That little video shows an American......
He will be mocked by liberals...
We have the ex enlisted wife of a retired admiral who walks her dog around our one mile community circle several times a day. Her hand goes over her heart with each passing of The Flag. We have about 50 % ex military so most of the hundred or so houses on the loop fly The Flag.
Fleet Landing,Florida
With the blue hat and jacket, he was probably Navy or Air Force.
Could be me each morning. Except I put up our flag and walk back and salute it in my driveway without a mask.
I will salute it again this evening before I take it down, again without a mask.
How sweet is that!!
In 2007 I had two American flags flying on my car. An elderly man standing on his front porch saluted as I drove by. Made me smile all day.

He could be a Korean War era veteran. But he looks old enough to be a WW II guy. That would put him in his early to mid-90s. My neighbor up the street is a WW II vet. I dont see him walking around. But I do see him in the grocery store occasionally.
Most likely ex-military.
It is up to all citizens to protect and defend the Constitution represented by the flag
We all pledged allegiance to the flag, did we not?
I do hope people will stop Perpetually the notion that our military are the only people with an interest in preserving this nation. As if they are some kind of mercenary force
Preserving the tenets of our foundation was never intended to be a job hired out
Look what we have from this attitude. A nation of speechless people in the face of antiamerican vandals with no clue how to stop it. Dependent on our eunuch republican senators, democrat alinskiite mayors and hoping one person? Trump, can fix everything
It is not a quaint notion that someone should salute the flag
It is our foundation and were losing it while we depend on old men to protect it
Get with it. trump will be gone in five years.
There are not many WWII vets still alive and walking.
This year, a friend, who was a bomber pilot stationed in the UK and flew 25 missions, died. He is the last of the WWII vets that my wife and I personally knew.
We have 2 friends, who served in Korea. One was a Navy Corpsman and the other was a young Marine private. They both were Frozen Chosen vets, and we worked for the same company.
At one of our corporate meetings, a female with the company, we worked for asked everyone if we had served and what branch.
These two had never discussed that hell hole, and they did after the young lady started the discussion. The Marine was possibly treated for the 2 wounds he got in that hell hold by his new old friend the former Navy Corpsman. They are 90 now or pushing 90. They have been the best of friends since that meeting.
Thank you.
Our annual 4th of July picnic has been put on hold to the Coronavirus.
Here’s the Flag I fly beside my 3X5 retired navy flag.
I hope the link is clickable .. if not, check it out. I think you will like it. Plus, like the man in the video, I salute it every day. I think God everyday for the life he has given me and this country I live in.
Decades ago I worked security for a university. A lot of the younger campus cops were real hot-shots, Starsky and Hutch types.
And they were always teasing one of the older cops. Ill call him Bill. Bill was a bit overweight. He didnt say much. He just came in and did his job every day.
The younger guys were always riding Bill. Youre in the wrong line of work, grandpa. That sort of thing.
Well, one day Bill came into the station carrying a small briefcase. And without a word he opened up in front of us. The briefcase was full of medals and citations. Bill was an Army Ranger who had landed on D-Day.
Nobody teased Bill after that.
Tnank you all for your story’s and great home pages I read them all and thank you from my heart God bless you all and the USA
