REP. CEDRIC RICHMOND: Well, I don't have a concern where we are on this issue. I mean, we have been very clear that police reform in this country is a necessity. And that unarmed Black people being killed by the police should be low hanging fruit. And if we could just get President Trump to acknowledge that and to push for real police reform, then let's address the issue of why NBA players did not play in basketball games. The fact that people are waking up and speaking out on Jacob Blake's death. I mean, that's the issue. And I think that, without a plan from the White House to address it, it's just really sweeping it under the rug. And you hear the rhetorical gymnastics from his chief of staff that was just here. Vice President Biden has been very clear. He put out a plan on police reform. And I think that that should be the subject we're talking about.

So Jacob Blake had a warrant out for his arrest, fought with police, had one of them in a headlock, tasers didn't phase him, knife in hand, not listening to police orders, going for something in the car (or worst case speeding off with 3 children in it).

I’ve heard about his death several times this week and put it off to just mis-speaking. Now it’s just propaganda and wishful thinking. Maybe we could just go to his hospital room and cut the O2 off and say He couldn’t be killed because he’s already dead.

Why do not Hannity etc. not invite Rep. Richmond on TV, display that graph to them, and ask them what it means?

Even better would be a graph also including blacks and whites fatalities-by-police of various races.

The guy is alive in the hospital. It would have been so much more extravagant sounding if the cops would have just killed him out right.

514 whites killed by blacks
234 blacks killed by whites
2 677 whites killed by whites
2 600 blacks killed by blacks

According to census figures, there were more than five times as many whites as blacks in the population, yet blacks killed more than whites killed. (Ignoring other categories, which made up only a small proportion of the total.)
