SALEM, Ore. (AP) — An Oregon mink farm has reported an outbreak of COVID-19 among animals and staff.

As funny as this story sounds, the danger is a virus mutation in mink that fuels the human pandemic in a new direction.
Yep. Hopefully because most mink are isolated on a farm or deep in the woods, human contact isn’t huge. Although I guess all it takes is one mink to human infection.

And I was just reading an article which suggested that Minks were one of the few or only animals which have been shown to be able to infect humans with COVID-19.
I wonder if this is real news or just a scare tactic story by animal rights activists...

I dunno about the extortion stuff but it is true that the “Animal Liberation Front” invaded some farms back in 1997, resulting in the deaths of about 200 minks of the 1500 they ‘freed’:
