A donation site run by Ted Cruz was raising money by selling copies of "Green Eggs and Ham," which were signed by the senator.

"Lefties are losing their minds that I'm signing & sending copies of Green Eggs and Ham to anyone who donates $60 or more," the Texas senator said on Twitter late Friday. "We've raised $125k in just 24 hours!"

Great idea, Senator.

I’m going to go with what Daily Wire said about another politician — why is he signing Green Eggs & Ham, which has not been canceled, instead of And To Think That I Saw It on Mulbery Street which was canceled?

I was never a Cruz fan but I grudgingly give him a lot of credit for being one of the handful of GOPee Senators who voted to Stop The Steal. This fund-raising gimmick shows imagination, Maybe he could be the first Senator of the new Texican Party. GOPee Delenda Est!

Probably in memory of his many hours talking during the ‘stop the steel’. When he wasn’t home to read his kids a story that night, he read ‘Green Eggs snd Ham’ over TV to them.

Why that book? Same author to get the point across and because the cancelled books are impossible to get.

Despite the amount of negativity directed towards Cruz around here he is one sharp cookie. I know him personally. I also would be supportive of a Cruz/Crenshaw ticket in 2024 but that is two Texans together so not politically lucrative. I would not be surprised if Trump backed Cruz for POTUS however.

Green Eggs and Ham wasn’t banned. Why doesn’t he sign one of the four banned books? Also, what are the names of the banned books and what is the offending material?

The six books are "And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street," "If I Ran the Zoo," "McElligot's Pool," "On Beyond Zebra!," "Scrambled Eggs Super!," and "The Cat's Quizzer."

Rebel News has a page with an embedded video with the banned images.

One from the Mulberry Street book had "a Chinese man who eats with sticks". A Seuss caricature? Yes? Racist? Not that I could see. I don't expect one Dr. Seuss picture to fully explore Asian rice agriculture, culinary practices and eye shape. Otherwise you would have to say every Japanese manga or anime with caucasians with overly round eyes is racist and must be burned.

Isn’t that special? Cruz raising money. It’s about all he knows how to do. Perhaps he should focus on root causes of the “book burning” 24/7. I guess he fells safe behind his wall in Washington, DC.
