Fried chicken is serious business in New Orleans.
The city where the Popeyes chain was born in 1972 has no shortage of great places to dine on crunchy, flavorful fried chicken, but when some residents found out this week that Chick-fil-A was moving in, they weren't cluckin' having it.
"Something to smile about," New Orleans council member Kristin Palmer tweeted. "The City’s first stand-alone @Chik_Fil_A is coming to #algiers in 2022."
The popular chicken chain, which has also been embroiled in controversy for funding anti-LGBTQ organizations over the years, has stayed off Popeyes' home turf — until now.'

This hitpiece she wrote on Chick-fil-A would warm the cockles of Das JoeFuhrer's heart - if he was coherent enough to be able to read it...
Things often heard at each establishment -
Chick-fil-A: My pleasure
Popeyes: *BANG*
Ironically the HRC, of all “hate groups” monitors had the integrity to give Chick Fil A, albeit grudgingly a higher than average rating when it comes to treatment of their LGBTQetc employees.
Go to any Chick-fil-A and you will find a fresh-tasting product at a decent price, a restaurant that is so clean you can lick the floors, and good-looking workers that are friendly. I’m sure there are exceptions, but I’ve been all around the U.S. and their consistency is remarkable for a fast food chain.
I never liked Chick Fila. Their food is too greasy and salty. Now that they’re woke, I’ll never eat there.
One can be certain that extensive market research was done before the decision to install was made.
The KFC Double-Down with Bacon was the best...
Popeye’s in Singapore and on US bases overseas are quite good.
But better watch out for the famous Chickenjoy coming to most cities in the US soon.

LOL....... Good one..
Hmmm...never had one. Next time I am in Arizona or Texas I am going to look one up and give it a try.
I don’t watch television, and walking by one and seeing a commercial with people wearing masks or anything with Covid makes me utter a curse.
I agree 100%!
You nailed it.
The left that can murder millions gets scared over the boogie-chicken sandwich. The continuous lie about gay “rights” and Chick-Fil-A is tired.
I buy grocery store deli chicken, fried or roasted. Fast-food fries up skinny chickens.
TBH I like grilling thighs. Bank up the charcoal, place your chicken on the opposed side of the grate, put the lid down. BTW, those lowest priced weber 22” kettles work great, family tradition, relatives too. We don’t pellet, or propane either... perish the thought.
My ol’ service buddy has a pellet grill with an internet connection. I think it’s pretty techno, but I’m not into all that.
“Go to any Chick-fil-A and you will find a fresh-tasting product...”
That hasn’t been my experience. I tried their chic sandwich twice. The buns were stale to the point of crumbling in my hands as I ate. BS on that.
But.... the discontinued pot pie was good as is/was their peach shake.
But the stale buns put me off. I’ll not return.
BTW the best fries around here are at this Korean restaurant in town. They cook them with a light tempura coating... wonderful.
Internet connection?
An App-pellet grill sounds like something for lawyers. You be the judge.
*wasa-waa-waaaaaa*
