and knowing what you have, where it is, and what you need to complete an entire meal.
Know what conditions will shorten the shelf life of your pantry as well as your food storage ( varying humidity, high temperatures, exposure to sun light, faulty equipment, dented cans, etc., etc.)
Wendy lives in a desert climate, so she knows of what she teaches from first-hand experience.

It IS important to remember that what one family eats, won’t be the same for the next family.

Gawd, we’re so spoiled, living here in America! I hope it lasts, but I fear it won’t. We both already work hard enough hunting, fishing, the garden (which we have DOUBLED in size this year) and putting by.

I could eat Rice & Beans every day and still be happy, so you know where my ‘stockpiling priorities’ lie, LOL!

Pinto Beans
Fried Taters
Sliced Tomatoes
Cornbread with lots of real butter.

I have 3 cases of MREs.

What I really want to stock up on now is SPAM!

They have so many varieties nowadays!

My tomatoes have only been in the ground a little more than a month.

They are doing well, though. Loaded with flowers and some have a bit of fruit.

my grannie taught me to can like this: melt paraffin wax, pour over the top of the food in the jar. It seals it
