how come? when I finally got my code and got on the site there was a note that said things are very slow due to all the new sign ups
Tried seeral times to create an account,but it never sent me the email with the confirmmation code (or whatever). Doesn’t matter... I’m not really a social network kind of person anyway.
Yes, they learned. They got hacked already.
In addition, it’s my understanding they are hosted by AWS.
So, if that’s true, I don’t know what they are doing other than maybe setting up some legal case.

If this is true, then they will be shut down soon. With AWS's history, how can anyone think this is a good idea? Will people never learn?

Yes, so does Raheem. I’m not sure if I will regularly visit Gettr. I have my daily routine and it doesn’t include social media. FR is about as close to social media that I will actively par take. I foresee bad habits forming if friends want to communicate with me electronically. They can just text me and say they are on their way over for a beer.
I read some were having trouble getting signed up unless they had Protonmail.
Anyone else get signed up with Protonmail or another email?
