Hello Folks! Good day and God Bless! My wife and I are thinking of starting a family. But she needs a book that will help her take those steps. Unfortunately we are not to thrilled with some of the title we are to finding. Usually from people that are promoting being childless, single mother, feminist agenda or anti motherhood type authors and books. I am wondering if you have any good recommendations on a book that can help us make that decision and put family in a positive light, rather than anti family style of writing? Thank you for your valuable time and recomendation(s) in advance! âº
We didn’t need a book to have kids. It’s really a pretty short process that we found enjoyable and instinctive.
Now if your looking for a book to convince her into the family life, I’m not sure if having a family is even right for her.
I remember loving The Way Home, which was written from a Christian perspective. Author Mary Pride I think.
Why do you need a book?
You and your wife are adults, if you want to start a
family, then start a family.
Your welcome, I hope that helps.
The Bible.
I don’t have any titles, but you do have my prayers!
God Bless you and Your Wife for your beautiful attitude.
I have 3 much older sisters, and their children are almost my contemporaries. When my sisters had children, Dr. Spock was all the rage. I remember my mother saying about them: “What’s wrong with young mothers nowadays is that they read too many books!”
Trust your instincts.
Welcome, Noob. I’ve never seem a question like this one. I assume you are from the year 1981? Is your wife also 40?
I’ll tell you this - people who never had children usually regret it and have a hole in their heart and a profound sadness when it’s too late to do anything about it.
People who have had children go through madness for 15 years or so, but no one ever regrets bringing children into the world and any sacrifices made are never counted (except by psychopath moms but that’s another story)
A great book for learning how to cope with kids and all kinds of family situations is called The Bible.
Good luck to you.
You gave my answer. Thx.
Women have been having babies for thousands of years. There is no book that one reads; it is a natural process. Can’t imagine what you think she could learn from a book.
Motherhood is the most difficult yet the most rewarding vocation a woman could have. Such a beautiful gift from God.
Talk to each other about your respective family experiences. Find out that way about the value of love and family.
Lord of the Rings trilogy.
Based on the other comments I’ve seen, this is about par for the course.

God’s first command to Noah after the flood - “Be fruitful and multiply”.
No other book could say it better
Perfect recommendation!
English isn’t your first language, is it?
Why do you need a book to convince your wife to start a family?
I can see wanting good family friendly books for kids once you have them, but your request is just weird.
Welcome to FR.
