I haven't posted for several years after my comments were unceremonially erased by moderators. I am a conservative who voted for Trump and hope to vote for Pompeo. So my pedigree is established. I'm afraid that FreeRepublic is becoming a nucleus for some very bad information about covid. I've had several uvaccinated friends die in their 40's from covid. This dangerous possible bioweapon is very dangerous. I am vaccinated and am glad I am. My 101 year old mother in law survived a bout with covid because of her vaccinations. The vaccine is a rough one. I had 2-3 days of side effects leaving some scars on my shoulder. The MRNA vaccines. The vaccine (more like a prophylactic therapeutic ) does not protect you from the disease. It only mitigates symptoms. I'm saying all this to urge conservatives that are in risk categories to get vaccinated. We have already lost at least 2 talk show hosts and Herman Cain to this insidious Wuhan flu. So go ahead and flame me and join the suffering ones from Idaho.
Try looking out the window of your covid bunkers once in a while.

I had to be vaccinated way back in February due to my involvement with the Fire Service. I am also Type O, take zinc, Vit’s D and C and, I believe (with the revelations this past week that the initial release of the Wuhan Death Virus was in October 2019) that my Co-worker (intubated) and I had the ‘Rona. I have breathing issues but at 68, I do an intense workout 3x a week. I am not going to let this ChiCom weapon get me, again!

Why not tax them a buck a pill, and sell them to "the antivax rubes", with proper dosage instructions, and the admonishment that "these won't work"?

I do believe in debate. Thats why I got “kicked” off FreeRepublic. I was arguing for gun magazine bans and after the Texas Shootings. After 200+ refutations, I changed my mind and saw the error of my ways. FreeRepublic has some great independent thinkers that America desperately needs. I just don’t want our numbers diminished because of bad medical advice.
This is weird. My wife and I are unvaxxed. We never wore masks (except when absolutely required for a brief time - usually for a few minutes). We even had dinner with a friend that got pretty sick from it but was starting to recover. We hugged after the meal. No covid here.
My brother got it. His friend in a third world country got it. They both showed pretty serious symptoms, but being outside the US, his friend had ivermectin, took it, and was fine in a few days. He mailed a bottle to my brother who took it, and was fine within two days.
One of my acquaintances from work dies of it, but she had the comorbidity. As far as I’m concerned, hospitals are killing people with their treatments. Remdesivir is a popular way hospitals seem to kill people.
So for us it is no big deal. We’ve travelled all over the country since spring of 2020 and we treat this like the flu. It’s just another endemic.
But my brother in law in Phoenix is scared to death of this thing and he has had several friends die. And they are big mask and vax people who also trust hospitals with their modern equivalent of using leeches for bloodletting.
So, YMMV, depending on what treatment you trust.
Agree with you and hoping the vaccines are safe enough. Many here don’t like the mandates. I agree with them also.
Others are convinced the vaccines are dangerous. Well they certainly harm some subset of recipients.

Every flu that has been out, even those created in the last 100 years have been terrible to humans, Yet none have ever been tracked like this one.
Why don’t we start tracking how many the get cold every year, and then add in the deaths from it. No, this was created, but it is no worse than most colds.
I have not had it, but my wife has, and I never got it. I know many who got it, some worse than others, one friend even died.
I have news for you, every years know someone who has died from the flu, some relatives, some acquaintances. Flus kill people, and that is why I stay home when I have it.
Never got a vaccine for any flu, and I am not starting now.

I know two people who have died from the “vaccine”.
Allow the freedom to choose against something is basically 99.85% survivable.
