This is absolutely outrageous. They should be thrown out from the community and a bulletin sent out on them to prevent them from simply establishing themselves in another community. Of what worth is a show of "faith" based on absolute lies, with purposeful deception in mind? The damage they have done is monumental. I’m not sure about this pair, but I can tell you there are Messianic Jews who are also ethnic Jews in Israel and others from Orthodox communist Ira are told to stay away from them. They are sneered and hated for their faith and desire to worship the Messiah and retain the focus of Judaism as Yeshua practiced it.

What is fake nowadays? I thought anyone could identify as anything. And besides, what harm have they caused? Were they not devoted? Whether they converted people to Christianity, which would be an individual choice, or supported Judaism, seems they were honest and sincere.

I am gathering there is an undercurrent controversy about who is and is not really a Jew or a Christian and then about them converting people to either. Whether people agree with their motives or actions, are they doing this sincerely?

Repercussions to others....

So many mezzuzot and marriage ceremonies are not valid. And children not religiously recognized as legitimate. What a terrible mess.

This hurts so many people that it’s fortunate the ones who did this live in modern times. There used to be “lashes” prescribed in the punishment for such things. Shunning and excommunication don’t seem to be enough.
