These Orthodox rabbis aren’t even Jewish, according to a newly released investigation.
Michael and Calev Isaacson, a father-and-son pair who live in Phoenix, Ariz. — and who have spent some 12 years performing sacred Jewish rituals, including marriages and writing holy scrolls — are now accused of being evangelical Christians.

Well, WHY NOT! If a man can have a BABY, and a male Anglo can identify was a woman from the Phillipines, and a U.S. Senator can pass off as Cherokee. I guess we can pick anything we want! Today I think I will be an ELEPHANT.
Agreed, the damage they have done to their community is unmeasurable......
What horrid people...
The take-out bags from Jim N’Nick’s full of pork BBQ should have given it away. LOL
I’m not sure about this pair, but I can tell you there are Messianic Jews who are also ethnic Jews in Israel and others from Orthodox communist Ira are told to stay away from them. They are sneered and hated for their faith and desire to worship the Messiah and retain the focus of Judaism as Yeshua practiced it.
Not at all. What they ARE against are missionaries who use fakery such as the people discussed in the article to convince uneducated Jews that JC is part of Judaism. They are certainly not attacking Christianity, only incidents of proselytizing and deception.
Are they Messianic? There are Messianic Jews.
Orthodox Jews might not agree with Messianic Jews being Jews.
But they exist according to many Christians.
Remember that Christ himself and the apostles were all Jews. As a matter of fact, Christ was considered by many Christians the perfect Jew (in practice). He fought the corrupt Jewish leadership at the time.
They’re just a throwback to 1st century Christianity. The early Christians considered themselves Jewish, too. They were kicked of the synagogues and told they were no longer welcome there. Hasn’t changed in 2000 years. A Jew that accepts Jesus is no longer practicing Judaism, no matter how much they argue otherwise.
"Messyonic jews" are almost always NOT Jews, but people like those described in this article who seek to deceive. They are non-Jews.
If you want to know if a person is a Christian, all you have to do is ask them. If they say they are, they might be. If they say they are not, they are not.
That’s simply NOT true as I’ve known quite a few ethnic Messianic Jews (please don’t use slang to describe them), and they do not hide their identity and do not seek to “deceive.” Quite the opposite.
Since Christianity is based on the same OT as the jewish faith, and believes in the same God, what’s the problem regarding marriage cerimonies? Christians simply add to that message the salvation message brought by the death and resurrection of Jesus, God in the flesh, the son of God and the son of man.
You want some mustard with that baloney?
Having a text in common does NOT make one a Jew. If both parties are not Jewish, it is not a valid Jewish marriage. Children from such a marriage, if the woman is the non-Jew, are NOT JEWISH. They cannot be enrolled in Jewish schools, go through Jewish ceremonies, etc.
“Jew” is both a race and a belief. Messianic Jews are often Jews, racially.
There is a tremendous amount of “hatred” between the Jews and Christians. Catholics have helped perpetuate this hatred by blaming Jews for Christ's crucifixion. And many rabbis have similar hatred towards Christians for blaming them and also convincing Jews to become believers.
Remember that Christ was a Jew and he was a descendant of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and David. Can't get more Jewish than by blood.

It’s my understanding Messianic Jews are not accepted within Jewish communities as religious Jews, but they are still Ethnic Jews.
I’ve been told Messianic and Secular Jews can be considered the same by many Jewish Sects. Other Sects might think differently of course.
I am gathering there is an undercurrent controversy about who is and is not really a Jew or a Christian and then about them converting people to either. Whether people agree with their motives or actions, are they doing this sincerely?
Being Jewish is a race. And being Jewish is also a faith, as was the case with Sammy Davis Jr.
