The guy was convicted of sexually abusing a child when he was in the army. He was into kiddie porn. When he got pulled over he probably thought it was for something he did along those lines that could land him in jail for a long time and shot the cop.

The homeowner stated he exchanged gunfire with the suspect that broke into his residence and the suspect was killed. FDLE Tallahassee Special Agent in Charge Mark Perez stated that investigators believe that suspect was Blue Alert subject Gregory Ryan Miedema.
