America had a record number of tornadoes in March.
At least 219 were reported last month — more than any other March on record, twice the average and 21 more than last year, Fox Weather reported, citing the National Weather Service.

We have much better equipment now to detect tornados,and many more eyes on the skies looking for excitement. Years ago everyone just hunkered down because the weather service was pretty much blind.
We’ve also never had radars so good. Funny how that works . . .

Maybe. Maybe not. Who does the counting? The fact is that with current technology we see more tornadoes that would not have been counted 50 or 75 years ago. When everyone has a cell phone with a camera, and every Podunk town has Doppler radar, we are going to see stuff we didn't see in years gone by.

A few years back, tornadoes occurring away from population and undetected by radar, tornado chasers and satellites just never even happened.

We had about a dozen within 100 miles of me this March. No deaths. Highest was EF-2. Weather service always takes a boondoggle and goes out and surveys damage.
I think maybe we had better mask everyone and require vaccines and vaccine passports so that tornadoes never happen again
Reason have more tornado is do to improved technology like Doppler radar which can spot the characteristic echos
Many of the new tornado are in the lower ends EF0 and EF1
Previously tornado were only found by visual sightings or by damage caused
