I suspect I must be the only one who has never heard of these murders. Therefore I guess I stand alone in the nation for not being gripped by this crime.
“Arranged to meet a man” is news to me. Never saw that in any of the programs I watched.
Hope this is the guy!
I am familiar with the Marcus-Nelson Murders in NYC 1973, investigated by Lt. Theo Kojak of the NYPD.
This is pretty big news. Having somewhat followed this story, I’m sure I never heard there was an arrangement to meet a man on the team tracks. But honestly, it could have very well been the case. These were young girls and by all accounts innocents, but that does not mean they couldn’t have been lured.
The one in the sun hat has haunted me ever since I read about their murders. Good they finally got him. I don’t think he’ll have a pleasant time in prison for the first three weeks.
Meeting someone on abandoned railroad tracks sounds like a plot for a B-movie Halloween film.
Now I wish they could find who murdered two girls in 1961 Carlsbad NM. The whole city was on edge for months after that.
I’m confused. All this evidence is against Kegan Kline but Richatf Allen is the one they are kicking up?
The one gal’s sister said she was chatting with someone online who she apparently thought was a teenage boy, but it wasn’t.
You can raise your kids however you want, folks, but if you want for them to keep out of trouble until they leave home, don’t give them cell phones and supervise whatever time they spend online. (Yes, the one little gal’s cell phone vid is probably what caught the guy, but SHE SHOULDN’T HAVE BEEN MEETING SOMEONE LIKE THAT IN THE FIRST PLACE.)
You can get a pager for your kid so they can get in touch with you or emergency services. Kids don’t need cell phones.
Not from Indiana, but I got ‘hooked’ on this case after listening to the podcast “Down the Hill: The Delphi Murders”
Although I’d listened to all the episodes, I kept it on my phone in the event of an update (none yet) and to not forget Libby and Abby.
So glad for all involved they’ve arrested someone - I was hoping I’d be alive long enough to see this day. Lots of emotion (Doug Carter, Tobe Leazenby) ... the girls touched a lot of hearts. The details of how they caught this guy will be interesting - he worked at the CVS in Delphi. Tobe Leazenby said years ago “I know that voice” ... I wonder if it was this guy.
Here’s the link to the podcast & also a documentary by the same folks if anyone is interested:
