Genocide? Lol
the meat, when 200,000 volts are directly applied!
Exactly what hate-filled leftists would think if Republicans were onboard. Why be like one of them?

What is it called? Minimum Descent Altitude?
If one is on the glide slope I mean
You bet—that is some hot meat!

Crazy! Amazing video.
That’s probably it. I had no idea. Still, it looked like something was wrong. The guy was swinging from the line or the tower.
I get dizzy just watching that video.
Haven't seen whether he was arriving or departing. Either way, I'm sure there are probably trees that tall in the area and the tower appears to be in the middle of a heavily populated neighborhood. 100ft? I suspect the plane was not functioning as designed (as it were)
I’m some hour away and today was terrible fog with occasional light rain.
The plane shorted the wires causing a surge in current. The power source would have sensed the surge and shut down power automatically.
There are helicopter linemen.
There’s videos on YouTube.
Transmission subs use SCADA.
This is local to us, and our power flickered a few times near the time this happened. Not sure if it was related...
I can’t imagine what the people in the plane are going through. Prayers for them.
based on the insulator size and the single conductors per phase, I’d say it’s likely 115 Kv or 138 KV. Probably 138, 115 is more common in the south. They probably tripped the line on the right side of the tower when they hit it, but the other circuit may have been de-energized by operators due to the proximity.
it’s 10 PM.
Do you know where your jihadists are?
I suspect the pilot was scud running, flying low enough to see the ground but not the transmission tower, which blended into the fog.
About 40 years ago a Cessna 210 was scud runnin over I-74 east of Peoria. It hit high tension lines with the vertical stabilizer, which probably buckled the elevator mechanism, sending it down and right into the back of a semi trailer full of tires. The truck driver amazingly was unhurt, pulled off onto the shoulder, and managed to unhook the trailer and pull his truck away from the inferno. The pilot and a friend perished.
Shocking!
