Donna Reed
The mom on The Waltons
Morticia Addams ...
I religiously watched The Brady Bunch followed by the Partridge Family on Friday nights. Loved Susan Day and David Cassidy and the bus was just so cool to me. Carol Burnette came on Saturday nights. I think Sonny and Cher may have come on after The Partridge Family.
Funny thing about getting older...even Ethel Mertz starts to have a certain appeal...
Hahaha!!
When they did it on the TV show, it was in response to a bossy women’s libber.

That's just gross.
I was lucky enough to be 17 but I believe by that time is was more interested in getting with the real thing.
The show is available on Prime. I stumbled across it a few weeks ago and watched the first few episodes. Farah made an appearance in one of the first episodes. She was not wearing that foundational undergarment that she also never wore in Chalie’s Angels. I’m sure the scene is on Youtube as well. Gotta love the seventies.
I was 6 when the series premiered. I watched that and the Brady Bunch every Friday night.
FYI “The Six Million Dollar Man” is now streaming on Peacock. Another one of my favorites from that time. I figure most of you folks from that time frame enjoyed that show as well. The Nancy Drew/Hardy Boys Mysteries are on there as well if you are looking for some more nostalgia. That Pamela Sue Martin was a real looker as well.
I think I read/heard that the Cowsill father/manager was very tough to work with.
Something like, they were on Ed Sullivan (could have been Smothers Bros or something else) and he was such a problem they decided to never have them back. Word got around and, eventually, nobody else would either.
If I’m wrong about this (I don’t think so) I will mea culpa with all due humility.
Great photo and autograph.
I still know my mouseketeer number.
Great song, but “I woke up in love this morning” is their best.
I have it in a party play list of completely unrelated music. The song before it slows things down and then I Think I Love You comes on. It takes about ten seconds for people to erupt and sing, well more like shout.
My first crush.
“Doesn’t Somebody Want To Be Wanted”, has the notoriety of being the song playing during the CONELRAD false alarm of 1971.

Three are still active as the band using The Cowsills. All are/were actual musicians. The oldest brother Billy??? died I think in Canada and while his memorial was being held word came a younger brother John who was a drum player perished in Katrina. That brother was in Tommy Tutone including on the recording of Jenny.
The Cowsill father was a horror. He also tried to rape his young daughter, Susan (and other young female members of the family).
Correction: Barry Cowsill was killed by Katrina not John.
