Russia's biggest airline asked employees to refrain from reporting malfunctions on flights, report says

A senior Aeroflot flight attendant told the publication that employees were instructed "not to record any breakdowns encountered during flights in the Cabin Log Book (CLB), but rather to verbally communicate the details of the issues and their location," according to a translation by independent Russian media outlet The Insider.

A former pilot told Proekt that on a flight in January, he found a fuel leakage while starting the engines of a Boeing 737. When he called technicians to investigate the leak, they said it had been there for a while.

"It had happened several times before, but there were no records of it in the technical log book — the airline's management asked us not to write anything," the pilot told Proekt.

Guessing they do NOT use AVO forms in Russia.

Good help is always in short supply and in Russia, good parts are also difficult to source.

Putin didn’t invest in the Russian people. The smart Russians left Russia.

This is some seriously dysfunctional writing.

The title explicitly says employees were told NOT to report issues.

But this is directly contradicted by the very first sentence of the article, which says employees WERE told to report malfunctions (verbally)

Why write a title that blatantly misinforms readers?

—”The smart Russians left Russia.”

“In Moscow, they teach many languages. Russian to those who want to study the past, English, and Hebrew to those who want to leave, and Chinese to those who want to stay.”

“ Why write a title that blatantly misinforms readers?”

Because they’re all liars?

If this keeps up, it will be hard to tell the difference between rebel groups opposing Putin and workplace accidents. Real workplace accidents, not “careless smoking” near ammo dumps.

What about the passengers? Won't they talk?

But, in the worst case scenarios, nobody will talk because they can't talk from the graves.

Too bad. Because it appeared to me that during Putin's first ten years of his rule, Russia was modernizing. At least we know the reason for plane crashes in Russia.

Where can passengers go to complain in the Animal Farm world of Russian bureaucracy? If the airlines are looking the other way, they were told to and given permission to look the other way. All related parts of the Russian system will know this and go along with it.

It was modernizing before him. His policies killed that.

independent Russian media outlet The Insider.==

It is a actually ANTI-Russian source on a western payroll. And absolutely dependent of a western money.

Russia was in bad shape 23 years ago. They didn’t even control Chechnya at the time. I think there’s a chance Russia may have split up into several countries. And we may see that in Russia after Putin.

Yeah yeah it was a "modernization" right))). Especially in 1990th when USA was a friend of Russia.

Yeah you don’t see under your own nose. USA is already splitted on 50 states and she already once fell apart on northern and southern states. So it is relatively easy to do it again.

Flight Attendants are not trained mechanics nor trained engineers.

Flight Attendants push a cart and ask “coffee, tea or me”

But what if Otto needs a quick blow-up?

He appears to be going soft in the video.

Interesting.
As it turns out Mother Russia is also “absolutely dependent of a western money.”

Be that as it may, will you be flying Aeroflot on your next visit to Lenin?

Such a deal!
