First off, all of them asked if they are residents there, which is aa perfectly legitimate question, Perhaps these people need to engage in pleasant conversation& introduce themselves as a neighbor. Cooperation goes much further than confrontation does. For all these black people know, these same people likely confront anyone they do not readily recognize, regardless of color. Instead of taking it as a sign of racism they should be happy that they are looking out for the neighborhood.
Sounds like all the white people are bass fisherman and maybe he was fishing for catfish. I fish for catfish and even out on a public lake I get disdain, weird looks from the bass fisherman in their $100K bass boats while I am fishing from my aluminum flat bottom.
When you belong to the 3% demographic responsible for about 40% of the violent crime in America, people are naturally going to view you with suspicion.
When I was growing up in the seventies, there was a black family who lived in my berbs neighborhood that I never saw. For the 18 years I lived there. I heard they were nice folks from the town’s police chief who lived across the street from them. They moved from the city next to the town I lived in so had very little contact with that family.
In the 80’s I took a good friend coworker skiing. I will never do that again. Every time someone couldn’t find their pocketbook, purse, backpack, shoes, sunglasses, or car keys, “that black guy stole it”. We spent a large portion of the day interacting with the local cops in Hillbillyville.
I’d say being asked “if you live here” is a better deal than being relieved of your phone and car...at gun point.
Do a search of hoa Karen’s lots of stuff will pop up.
White woman: Hi. Do you guys live in the neighborhood?
Black man: Yes, we do.
White Woman: Ok. Good luck.
Yeah, its a legitimate question. But how often do they ask that of the white fishermen there? It probably does happen, but I’ll bet not nearly as often as it does to black fishermen fishing in their lake.
This guy got approached and asked this 3 times in that one day. Whenever I fished, wherever I fished, I never got asked that question once, much less three times in a row. The only question I ever got asked was “catch anything?”
In my opinion, this was racial. They’re not used to seeing black people fishing there, which triggered the questioning.
I have a general loathing for HOA board types. They tend to be loaded with annoying busybody clip board carriers. As they progress in life, in many cases they become democrat politicians.
I have a friend who turned into a Liberal. She really is conflicting in her views. She is very nice and I have known her a very long time but there is a certain amount of hypocrisy that I have to laugh at.
She has made it known to me she has a woman friend that is back, by the way we all from the south, and of course that is fine. Except she is virtue signaling.
I saw her last week and she made mention of the fact that she had a Lesbian couple coming to visit her this weekend and they were bringing their child with them. This couple, white, picked out a back man for the Invertro procedure so we have a mixed child, but that was just a big deal.
Finally this morning, she tells me that she has some new neighbors in her gated community and says, oh they will fit in with us. I thought what a bunch of bunk, they have to “Fit In”. I would avoid that place like the plague.
Before anyone tells me to drop her, etc., she has stage 4 liver cancer and she is a very close friend. I could not do that to her after so many fun years of her being my friend.
The most interesting thing about this is that it’s on the Internet at all. The reason: more and more people pay attention to them. Americans are turning more trashy and dumb and soulless every day.
I really don’t know. It seems it could belong to this gated community, which is governed by an HOA.
When I was in the Navy stationed in Orlando for training, I remember the police trying to run me and my fellow Navy firends out of the lake because we were not residence of that “private” lake.
If there is a HOA and he is a member then he’s good. Otherwise gtfo! HOAs always win in these cases.
The article uppercases black, and lowercases White. I don’t read articles that follow that convention.
This gets worlwide coverage and sympathy, but the White woman that was carjacked and had her throat cut, by a male negro, in peaceful Indiana, PA barely makes the local news.
Yeaaaah… I feel bad about this on the day I can walk through my old North Philadelphia neighborhood and not get killed just for being white.
Guy sounds like he just wanted to start trouble with Whitey… Whether they’re Karens or not.
